Well, i am soon going to be buying a domain name and setting up a portfolio so that i will be able to recieve commissions from companies to do work... I have already done some stickers/logos for a world championship motorbike racing team and the design company that asked me to do that is at the moment in very close ties with bands such as Casabian and Slipknot, and are hoping to get deals with them that i can get involved with. I need an online portfolio to show off my work easier so that i can get my name spread around. Anyway, here is what i have on the template so far: (it is not even close to being finished)
sorry i havent been active i have not been on the internet for about 3-4 weeks or something cos i have been so busy catching up on GCSE art work and revising. i have tried to make up for it by replying to a load of posts tonight, and i shall try to stay active and up to date with stuff on here. sorry again.

cool. Its smooth, and its not overwhelming. I hate photoshop sites, where they have half-assed borders, and millions of filter-whore images poping out of the cracks. and yeah, the images behind the links are cool.

Banner and siderbars are okay, i suggest you change the whole center bit, AND FAST!

Right, I especially like the border, but the gradient fill in the content area does not go, just have plain white. Same for the menu bar. Other than that is cool. The banner r0x0rz

Actually I like the light gradient a lot. I just like that style, and just plain what doesn't look good at all to me. Especially being a portfolio site, I don't think plain white would fly too well.

Decent. I think it is a bad idea to use someone elses graphix if you are a design company, I have run into problems doing that. As a matter of fact, that is one of the reasons I hang around this forum, so I can be good enough to not use others work, cause it just causes problems. The copyright is usually at the bottom. The template ends too abruptly at the top and bottom. There is nothing defining the top and bottom of your template, just the sides. Other than that, I love it. You didnt make any standard dumb mistakes that most people make (using different fonts all over, bad coloring).
