yes, this is the 3rd one, therefore it is after the second one, and it also is not out yet.
chucks, it has a VERY good graphics engine (looks amazing for an RTS), has a lot of new things to do, for instance when i played, i was the british fighting the spanish in attempt to colonize new england. i ended up allying with the Cherokee and whoopin their asses B)

Age of Empires II was great, but gets kinda boring
Like Starcraft held me for about 5 years, and even now I still want to play it (but I cant since I lost it)
I might look into Age of Empires III, but I am really waiting for SC 2

it's also at least another year old :rolleyes: blizzard keeps delaying it. now they're remaking the whole thing again.
by the way guys, they just released the demo for AOE III if you wanna join in the fun ;)
Actaully, SC: Ghost is an entire dif. game then Starcraft (the RTS)
I know all bout it, Ive been waiting 1 year reading all the news.
They arent remaking it ;)

i know its completely different. that was what i was making sure you knew, cuz you said you were waiting for SC2.. which, as we established is nothing like the original.
they are remaking it actually. because back when it was originally created, like 3 years ago, it was good in those days, but outdated now. so now they are updating it to be a competitior with the rest of the game. i read it in an article, i can get it for you if you would like.

ye i played it and it so fun! i like how the ppl fly away when they get shot by a cannon!! funnyness...2 bad i need a better computer for the better gfx..rite now iim stuck wit 64mb gfx card wit no shader..plannin to buy a new compu with amd processor and a 6800 gt gfx card..just hope ma dad lets me!

XD My current computer couldn't handle AoE3. But I remember the original AoE. Twas a great game, with the Phoencians and all that.

I think what I liked most about the original AoE was the period of time. The battles were crazy.

yea, but there are bowmen, pikemen, calvary, etc.
What i like too is that some of them have bayonettes, and others have swords to fight with when they come into close quarter fighting.
also i've come across some stray pirates that hand dual pistols -- they were easy to kill, but fun to watch
there are also different tactics too, like volley and hand to hand combat for infantry, and other options for artillery.
i can't wait for it to come out...me and mates at uni play AOE2 over the network at college a fair bit and that game ia awsome multiplayer. Do you rekon you need a really good graphics drive to run it? compare the graphics in AOE3 to the ones in Age of Mythology...is it any different? cause my computer may struggle if the graphics are too good but my computer handles AOM!
the graphics requirement is:
64 MB video card with support for hardware transformation and lighting required
i would say get a new one if yours isn't a 128 MINIMUM. 64 just doesn't cut it these days..
and yes these graphics are better than any other RTS preceding it, including age of mythology
