I just got this game today, and the single player is great. The tactics and weapons are realistic. I have been playing for a couple hours offline and its great. Anyone else pick up this game yet?

but you need a pretty good computer for good gfx quality + high fps on the computer version.
xbox version is tight though and it has a lot of good players since a lot of people bought it that played the computer version. The only reason not to get this game is that some people think there is too much advertising for the Army, but what do you expect from a game that was made by the f*cking army.

aa is a game for people who have ghetto computers or just have low expectations for games. no offense to anyone who plays it, i used to.. but i just hate it now. bf2 son.

also, in my opinion xbox=halo box, and you can get that for PC, so really xbox=n00b. PCs are superior, id rather have something that can play games and do other things than just something that plays games.
AA > BF2 .
You can play AA with anything, top of the range, or 256 ram. (Me using the latter). People play one game of AA, die, then never come back. It's completely different to CS (Blegh.), no rambos. BF2 is good, but spawn campers n' all that kill it.

the xbox part is pretty dumb
first i'll say i hated halo 2, but halo was a great game

CS I see people go like 75/5 and its like nothing, and in AA if you go like 20/5 a game your a pro :)

i'm in agreement about aa taking skill and strategy, but as does bf2, but bf2 has 10x better graphics, and a more intense and complete combat feeling
joint operations was a fun game as well.. VERY tactical, and not crap graphics.
i think aa just needs to get itself a good graphics and physics engine, make their gameplay not so tedious, keep the realism, which will only be improved with a new physics system. THEN it will be a game i'd play. but right now it feels like rubbing sticks when i could use a zippo
^^once again, agreed, BF2 has amazing graphics, strategy and realism. i mean comon, you get shell shock in that game for crying out loud. combat feeling is totally there, even with my 2.1 speakers and integrated audio, it sounds like theres a plane flying over my head when one does, youre just totally immersed. strategy is there as well, also not to mention chaotic situations.

yea, i have a sub too sui, i just meant that i can still hear things over my head with a 2.1 setup, imagine what itd be like if i had a surround sound with an actual sound card.
Sui, when is the last time you've played aao? because It's way more realistic than bf2. You have more recoil and all that shit.
In AA:ROAS there is no crosshair. You have to use the ironsights/scope of the gun to aim. Also if you get shot, you are down, like real life. I played BF2 and I agree it has good graphics, but I think it lacked tactics. Everyone spawn camped, and it ruined it. Maybe if there were acutally good players, that wouldn't happen but everytime I played, someone spawn camped. Also in real life if you die do you respawn? Hell no, thus why AA is more realistic. Also on xbl, AA is a whole 'nother world.
Right now, I have 240,000 exp points and I can no longer achieve skill points =/.
what servers did you play myst, cuz noone ever spawn camps on the servers i play, and you do have a scope option in bf2 with guns.
^^ I played the xbox version which im guessing might be different?
Only reason i hate AA is the training s*** at the start, ugh

the controls are so dam hard... like when im trying to aim the dam crosshair on a guy in halo2 it goes past him twice before i get hold on him...
mouses are muuuuccchhhhhhhhh better...... on 1st person games.....
^^ you can get a mouse and keyboard adapter for consoles... but they usually rule them out during tournaments.

i didn't say it wasn't more realistic, but bf2 is pretty realistic, especially with the new patches, it's got great graphics, sound, and a good physics system as well. aa definitely takes the cake in realism, i'll admit, but i'm willing to trade a little realism for some uber hot sex gameplay that is bf2.Quote:

last night I finally got in a non laggy 16 person server, and o my it was so fun. Map was Mountain Fortress (Insurgent Camp) and i was sniper and o my I got 7 kills the one round. oh my there were headshots left and right... oh my...
