Well, gamestop got another shipment of 5 more XBox 360's and since I reserved it 5 months ago, they let us buy it today :)

The XBox 360 is AMAZING, if you hook it up to your computer with Windows XP, you can use Windows Media Center on your XBox.
You can store videos, songs, pictures, and unlock extra features with the 20 GB Hard Drive.
600x the processing power as the original XBox.
Wireless controllers have absolutly NO latency!
Wireless controllers avoid any interference and have a 30 ft range.
You can turn the XBox 360 on with your controller.

I haven't had any problems with my 360, and everything has been running smoothly. It's about twice as quiet as the original Xbox also.

Simply amazing.

You must have got the 1 out of 50 xbox 360's that have nothing wrong with it. My friend showed me his and it was dissapointing. It had so many problems with it + they had a segment on the news on how many problems it has with it. Ill probably not get one, but if I do it will probably around of next spring.

Actually I heard that Bill Gates is proceeding all profits he would make off the Xbox360 and donating it to his scholarship program. So even though I don't support the 360 anyone who buys it is supporting a better cause.

Not to mention, Microsoft loses 140 dollars for every Xbox360 sold. Where's your profit now Mr. Gates!?

yup agree 100% and with consoles, i persoanly get bored quicly, the only games that i play are FPS games, and they are 10x better on PC's anyway <3

and i can talk to people and make stuff in PS, ect

Guys, the whole "All Xbox 360's crash" is a bunch of bull.

Only 10% of the 360's sold have a minor problem that can be fixed by using your warranty and getting a new one, and I still have yet to see one completely crash.

Also, the XBox 360 will be better than the PS3 in performance,it's a fact, but both systems won't use their full performance capabilites (unless you mod it) so really it's not gonna even matter.

Some 360's do have overheating problems, but that is only if you leave it on for at least 3 hours, and this is a very small amount of them that do have this problem.

Before you guys say something sucks... why don't you at least try it out before drawing conclusions. Otherwise your review/criticism is pretty much useless. I am not being biased against PS3 (like some of you guys are against XBOX) infact, I will probably get the PS3 at some point in time, and yes it does look like a really great system. I just wanted the 360 more, simply because you have a LOT more capabilites with it than the original Xbox, and it's processor is 600x faster than the original.

Remember guys, the media overexagerates just about everything.

BTW: I do have a really nice computer, infact, I just got it, so there is no use getting another.

I did try it out and I did see it crash. Maybe he just got a bad one, but im not taking the chance, ill wait until the xbox 360 is bug free before I get one.

I heard them say on the news that if you didn't reserve one, you can't get it until Feburary because of the high demand, and supposedly, that is the date they think it will be totally bug free, and I still haven't had any bugs with my Xbox, and I'm hoping I will never have bugs with it.

Yes, but still for people that reserved it.
At least that is what my local Gamestop, Best Buy, and news told me.

BTW: Myst and Equal, I wasn't really talking directly to ya'll when I said "Why don't you try it out before you criticize it." That was directed more toward the others that didn't have a somewhat valid reason why they thought it wasn't very good.

No they aren't losing money, they are still gaining money just not as much.

It is basically like they are selling it all to you at a discount off the retail value.

This is the exact same case with the iPod Shuffle. The iPod Shuffle really only costs Mac 25$ to build, but they price it up because of programming, which would turn it out to be around $20, but they sell it at $99 to make a bigger profit, but if instead they decide to sell it at $60 a shuffle, then they would still be making money but not as much.

I guess you could say they are losing money because they aren't getting as much as they could, but that's just pesimistic.

Remember Microsoft can get discounts on parts too....

i don't think you understand how business works. the minor $125 they lose they gain when people buy their games. it's a one time loss for an infinite gain so long as people buy their games. however, if they were to raise the price $125 they would lose many of their purchasers because the price was too steep. When you look at the grand scheme of things, $125 is a small price to pay for the amount of money microsoft will gain in the end.

Let the people buy whatever they want and let them see for theirselves if the XBOX 360 crashes or not... but hopefully it wont...

I'm gonna follow octane's example and buy a Premium Package XBOX 360... not on the launchday(2 december in Sweden) though, cuz the stores will probably run out of them in a flash... AND bcuz I can't afford it just yet >.>, I will probably buy it somewhere around april maybe... OR I can wish for one as a Christmas present!! Yay!!

Well, he has already donated around $5,000,000,000 (billion) of his OWN money to charities, and I think it's still pretty smart of him to donate the Xbox 360 money to charity. At least he's donating right? Plus, rumors say that in his will, he is only giving his 2 sons .02 percent of the amount of money he has (which is still $10,000,000 each), about 80%-90% is going to charities ($ is too high to calculate :P).

Why be pesimistic? He is donating money, and that is really all that matters.
