TBH, I don't particularly like those works, sure they're okay, but they're nothing fabulous.

A few of my 'cool' people... Hmm... Feng Zhu is a great source of inspiration, he's just great all around. I'll probably post more later, when I'm less busy/sexy.

The reason i posted craige's work is because he is considered the THE best digital artist in the area now.

Feng, church, dusso are good and all but the best is craige according to CGS

Sure, he probably could paint better than all of the others, but I look for the ideas and the originality. Thats why I like feng zhu, not because he's the best painter / whatever, but because its unique and interesting.

and Spluff to answer your post above, originality is inapplicable when you can paint well, and thats why hes a grand master.

the reason his art isint "original" is because he gets paid money for his art which he does for movies and games. He mostly only does realism and other works ( he oil paints ) you can see his "originality" in the stuff he created as sketches.

Feng also get paid for artwork, hes good but he lacks understanding. Anyone can come up with some original idea if given the correct amount of time and or inspired by something.

imo basing someones work on how "original" it is just doesnt seem logical. Be ing rginal is a plus for an artist but not by any means a must.

PS : most of the "original" artist like feng and Church often refrence their work backto craigs, most of the best artist say they sometimes go to craiges site ( goodbrush ) and look for diffrent styles which he uses.

Alot of the digital paintings posted was most likely done in painter aswell as Photoshop.

Alot of great stuff though. I&#39;ve never really heard of many of these people but I tend to never go look for it..so I&#39;m sure thats why. Craige Mullins and Anry are pretty nice.

Ah, yes requests are always good. But IMO, a good artist would add a touch of something new to everything they do, whether its a generic guy with a gun, or a person sitting on a bench. Thats what I look for, I see that craig has great technique, but I still need something to make me interested, and just technique won&#39;t do that for me.
