Sweet, the text is blended well but needs to be more obvious, like your second signature, thats very cool also.
nice..could use some more brushing over her face and arm..unless you wanted it that way...I like it..add just a light layer of color..like red, yellow, and/or blue..would look great! nice job anyways :P

hahahaha peksa, i see you dont know much. a render can be something you made in a 3d program, but it is also a picture from a show/game/whatever that you RENDERED, which means to cut out of a screenshot or picture. not many people render their own stuff anymore, tehy go to gamerenders or clantemplates and get pre-cut renders. and yes those are called renders as well. i see you probably just do 3d stuff :p.

Here's what the dictionary says about the word "render". It's a verb.. To render something.
"Computer Science. To convert (graphics) from a file into visual form, as on a video display." - Dictionary.com
From file to visual form; This certainly applies to 3d-programs, but i'm unsure if it also applies when using, for example, photoshop; since everything is already in visual form.
I'm sure though, that cutting out something from a picture, is not called rendering.
I checked out the gamerenders site.. As far as I could see, there was only renders there (as in from a 3d-program), please correct me if i'm wrong.

Alot of people are doing it, which is probably why it has spread..
Prolly started off by someone who couldn't figure out what it meant, and used it when he made some picture himself.. Then more and more ppl copied him...

Well then we are sort of misusing the word 'signature' it meaning..is...
1. a person's name written by himself.
2. a set of signs usually placed at the beginning of a staff immediately after the clef, to show the pitch, key, and time of a piece of music; key signature or time signature.
3. Printing, Bookbinding.
4. music, sound effect, or annoucement, used to identidy a particular raido or television program.
5.Pharmacy. the part of a prescription that is to be copied on the label, giving directions for taking medicine.
6. Nuclear Physics. a characteristic track of bubbles or sparks made by a subatomic particle in a bubble or spark chamber, by means of which it may be identified.
7. Figurative. any characteristic or distinctive mark of identification.
These were found in my dictionary at home..please Peksa, admit your wrong ok?..btw..NONE of these stated anything to do with photoshop..so sig is a totally new word..with signature being the root word for it..taking bits and pieces of some of the definations (i.e. Defination 1. and 7.)
Not one person could of spread the whole thing about renders..and everyone copy him! Thats almost impossible and unthinkable at that...Go ahead and look up 'renders' on google and you will find random objects just alone

As far as the signature question or whatever, i wasn't stating that we were misusing the word signature, but just that you wouldn't find "sig" in a dictionary (and you would find signature)

Still, I don't care how many people are misusing the word; if render means to transform something into visual form, a render should then be a picture transformed from a file..
And it's fucking not in photoshop when you cut a dude out and paste it somewhere else.

I partially agree with Peksa here, i find it strange to use the word render in describing anything from a screen shot to hand painting. To me a render is computer generated. So you could call an edit screen shot from a 3D based game a render, because the screen shot was rendered by the game engine. But a screen shot of a game that was generated by hand or some anime art work that wasn't computer generated is technicaly not a render. And the dictionary supports that view.
Btw, searches in google are based on keywords that people put in the html, not whether it is in fact what the search is for, hence why almost all searches will find p0rn even if you choose something disimilar.
