i love the abstract feel of it

To me it looks like a nice background to a sprite for some reason (probably because of the flow) Anyway..v1 > v2..sorry but i don't like the txt on v2.

Erm yeah, maybe try adding a few vector shapes suiting the flow, maybe even add a sprite..but just try the vector thing if you've got time for a interesting style :)

I like the version without text, but as others have said it's missing something. I don't like sprites much at all so my idea would be to create one more bubble in the right hand side foreground to increase the sense of depth. Maybe try a blue version, see how it looks with an underwater feel to it.
