v2 the text overlaps the edge on the left in v1... tbh its not my sorta thing... and its far to dark and hard to read.

I don't think it has enough going on to be a wallpaper. I wouldn't want to look at it every time I turned on my pc. Sorry to say but it's just kinda boring.
What you have done looks ok. It's technically fine. There's just not enough to hold someone's attention.

large piece... its a large bit of art... which is art rather than specifiacly designed as a wallpaper or anything.

my main problem is that is too dark and therefor to hard too read
o...its easy to read on my comp :)

I'm not having any trouble reading it either. Doesn't look engraved though, try giving it an inner shadow.

how is that for engraving?
It still looks embossed rather than engraved. Mostly because it's lighter coloured than the surface it is supposed to be engraved into.
ya...but when you engrave it is always lighter :)

i like it. Recognise those words from somewhere i think? :S maybe not lol, is it a famous speac?, churchill or u make it up? it's cool tho. If u made the text up urself, pretty powerful stuff like
