I need some help from gfx'ers

A friend is making an rpg, and he needs some help making some items for it trees, weapons, potions, characters, etc.

Any help from ne one at ne skill lvl wuld be awesome, i mean im noobtastic and im doing some they arnt that hard

do you mean concepts of weapons, skins for models, or models, or what? Id b glad to help out where i can.

hmmm how detailed? is it like concepts as DMX said... or is it like sprites?

cool, wot program is he usin? lol, i've been tryin to use C++ to make a very basic game. Self taught from books etc, lol. is he like a professional programmer? am away to do comp science at university and if he is ne chance of gettin some info off him? :P .

he is just tryin his luck not professional, hes got some ppl helping him i believe

sizes idk iv been using a 250 x 250 to make a bigger copy of the item on its item slot background which is like a 50x50 square, make the item and a cool background and size it down

and after i flatten image just cutting out the item and putting it on a transparent 120x120

actually easier than it sounds
but the only thing is name them in #'s like 21,14,56,77
and no 00 #'s dnt ask me why lol

lol, yeh some basic scope like smiling demon suggested wud b nice but i've been startin on some potion bottles.

awesome there isnt rly ne item names or a set list

just cool looking stuff ill try to make a list

-swords (evil and good) dark nd light side kinda thing
-other swords like fire water ice w.e
-potions (healing magic strength etc.)
-scenery (bushes rocks trees mines? etc.)
-other weapons (staff bow arrow dagger etc.)
-characters
-possibly animals (birds deer etc.)
-accessories (special boots special cloaks etc.)

that good? i totally winged it lol

hmmm twill take alot of time... but i'll start... probably wont be much gd at anything other than swords lol.

is this along the lines of wot he's lookin for. I kno it's not great but can b worked on jus to know if it's on the rite lines. i kno axes isn't on the list but worever i forgot to check, lol.

ahh yeh neva noticed the "other weapons" bit my bad, lol, well 250 * 250 was mentioned so thats wot the axe is. Made a health potion bottle 2 but am not sure on the bg, it's ok itself but the bg sucks.

thx for the help so far guyz :) but wut i do is i use the 250x250 as a larger model for the 50x50 picture just resize it and i think 50x50 is good for the item slot but ill save these three so far and resize em nd wut not so dnt worry too much bout that im just excited there r ppl interested

"Dude, I love them! Tell them all they are doing great.
I will probably use the sp and mp pots just the way they are for when they are in the inventory and short cut keys. But when they are on the ground, they will have to be scaled down, with no back ground.
It should be around this size, can be a little bigger if u want. [if yu send em big to me i will scale em to right size the b.g is used for item slots i guess]

The weapons are nice too, we just need to get rid of the background. [for the ground the b.g r good again for item slot ill scale it down]
And also, I need you to make a animated version them in a swinging motion. I can't find you an example at the moment. Make several different animations for each. Remember, make them jpg or png (preferably). I would recommend an axe being a little tily/small swings. I really don't know how it should look like. send them to me and I will try them out.

I also need you to start making trees and rocks.

sprites, weapons and trees scenery etc. moronik posted a list of what was needed. also weapons etc animated so to speak is needed to be done. if u cud make some weapons or nethin on the list am sure it would be appreciated. :cool:

oh nd if ne one sees a weapon they think is cool yu can make the swinging motion just cut out just the item put em in little 60x60 or 80x80 boxes sumtin like that than move em all onto one big pic
