Future Logo.

Well, here is the huge render for my up-and-coming logo. I hope you guys like it.

Yea, it was done in C4d. I just got done taking out the grey background. I just put that in there because it gave a nice reflection on the center-piece.

hey dude, save it with an alpha channel to get the render really easily, you dont need to take out the grey bg at all, it'll get nothin but the render, really handy trick.

Added some scan-lines. Right now I am just messing around to see what looks best. Thanks for the compliments. Any criticism is appreciated. Illegal, thanks for the tip.

is that a gif? would be better as a png. the edges are rough unfortunatly. hmmm i like the scan lines but most prob lean towards the first one.

It is a GIF because I liked how small the file size was. The final draft is going to be a PNG. So you like is better without thehe scan-lines? To me it just seemed too boring and plain.

hmm... if its a logo, are you going to integrate some text with it? or what about something orbiting it, like a ring/halo, broken up shards from a ring or something? just a thought.

For a small icon, the scan lines will not come out, it will just make that section darker, but for the large res one, the scan lines look kewl. maybe if you fade em out a bit on the brightest parts.

But yeah, I dont mind the scan lines, it does break it up a bit.

I was just working on making a sphere, then exploding it in the centrer of everything. It looked sorta cool, but making the best lookimg material for it is pretty hard. The text will be to the right side of it, sort of diagonal saying "Bogo-Designs" or whatever I decide to have the site called. And I am starting to really like this render big...I don't want to ruin it by shrinking it down uber small :( .

yeah its realy kewl... i like the idea of an explosion, why not make a ring, and then explode it, but only a small distance from the original ring...... you could do it in any axis/direction.

I agree with you, dont shrink it, it looks brillant the way it is. hmmm texture is always a pain, i'm hopless at that too. maybe go for something chrome or silver, or go for fire... its a tough one.

I like the one with the scan lines more the first one looks kinda of dull.

the scanlines is nice, but its still a little jagged around the edges, did you use an alpha channel?

Yea, I used Alpha Channel. Like I said, I saved it as a GIF. So that explains why the edges are jaggy. I didn't want to use a PNG because I liked the small file size of the GIF.
