Ok, lets get whatever you are working on.
1. Ctrl+C the layer you want to shine. Get your gradient and use these settings:

2. Apply a gradient, like the one in the picture below:

3. Go to Filter > Blur > Gaussion Blur and use these settings:

Now you are done! Feel free to post finished results!

very simple, but can be used in many ways. make 2, switch the colors, add a javascript code, and make a cool clicking effect too! fun. gj
