ok guys, heres the template i made for minorthreat for his upcoming site. i know i have to fix the navbar, suggestions are welcome. please comment!! also if you wanna see the banner he made for it go here

Hey that's pretty nifty. I like the theme of it. Flows really nicely. The colours are sexy..it's just gunna suck if you put an iframe in there:(
nobody wants to comment? :( i need help to get this better for MT. thanx hxc, but why will it suck if i put an iframe in there? :( well thats not my choice anyways, thats up to MT, but what else coudl you put in a box?
I just think that having a random scrollbar in the middle of the layout will make it look pretty bad. I don't know what you'd do in place of it. But like you said, that's up to MT. :P
why scrollbar?? u neednt to give that scrollbar.... and u too neednt to do iframe u can do that only with tables.....
that design is pretty good but i should decrease the size its too big , u must understand people with small monitors , try open any site that is big like this on 800x600 .....
You could use a table, but there would be no overflow and all his slices would end up looking like crap.
what is "Overflow" ?? :blink:
well to put text or pictures or whatever in the table you have to define the size of the table. One you reach the maximum size of the table the table begins to resize itself "overflow" and will throw all the images off around it.
yea, thats why i need something that scrolls. he could get an iframe and then make a custom scrollbar, just like an up arrow and a down arrow, lookin kinda grungy. that might work
Fix the Navigation bar. It is way too big. It looks sort of awkward with the text going over the bar, aswell. Only thing else that I could suggest is make the content area a little wider. Other than it is some great work. Don't let this templete go through bad-coding torture!
Custom scrollbars don't work in Mozilla Firefox. That's why it's the sucks that you have it designed so it can't be a resizable content box.Quote:

yeh. any ideas for the navbar? i think i might make a kinda splat on the side, kinda like i did the content box, but put the links there?

Pretty sweet... That font still looks kinda funny to me. It fits well, just looks a bit off to me, that's all... G/J...

can i just ask why mt didnt do it, it wouldve flowed alot more with the banner..
(not that its not good, its amazing but the text doesnt flow)
Deepblue, you are right. The banner really does not flow nicely with the rest, but he likes it. He made the banner. I think it's fine, i kinda grunged it up a little bit. I might go back and darken some parts to make it flow better, but i gotta ask him if thats ok.

yeah, both peices are great, but when you put them together the texts dont flow to well, maybe if you asked him how he does his text effect you could make the nav bar dark and use similar text effect to the banner
