i think the colours are a bit monotone styll.

I only added a black and white gradient map on multiply. They were already monotone. :(

Soft brushes, gradient maps and selective color layers.

With the soft brush set the layer to overlay or color dodge depending on what color and how you want it to look.

I really like the effect that it has, with the guy standing there. BG looks good, looks a bit lonely, which is really good, it has a good style. :D
Not crazy about the text, maybe try a sans-serif font. :P

Nice...you kept it nice and basic good job. Its a little bland but i like it keep it up.

Ok, I added more colors the way you said, keep in mind I've never added in colors like this, so it's probably pretty crappy. I also used a serif font, thanks Ptka, the font is cool-looking. :)
