This is my first fractal work, and compared to other peoples is really bad (i looked on dA) but i wanted to show it cause i was proud :)

I think it is really really good m8 ^^. But like I said I havent used that program that you used to make this picture. But still it looks really good :).

its a really cool program, like 45mins to make something like this, and its all hit and miss wether it looks good or not (you do get a preveiw but... )

if you wana see some gd fractals, look at dA, digi art> fractals - some amazing stuff on there (of course made with better progs etc, this one is free (legally) )

Wow...i have been using apophysis for about 3 months now...i use them as an alternate to fractal brushes. I have a fractal just like this one! :D

No, mine suck :-p. I have some posted on my deviantart from a loooong time ago. Those were like my first real digital art. I was so happy! I made crappy fractals and then brushed over them with abstract brushes :p I dont know what I was doing. I might post some of mine.

Thats prety good man, fractals seem to be pretty cool. Cant you create a fractal using qBasic? Im pretty sure its a math equation that can create a fractal.

yeah, it is to do with math, if i wanted i could write a script for apophysis but atm im not too bothered, playing around with the other stuff wotrks jsut as well

Yea, fractals are awesome, and you are right about them having to do with math. Basically, its a "flame" made by using thousands of iterations of technical mathematical equations to get a nice product. it all starts out with ranges of particles that are altered by those equations. another great one to check out is chaoscope, but its not like apophysis, it takes skill. With chaoscope you can actually make stuff that looks 3d!

is it free (legally), if it is, mind giving me a link?

i like things that take skill, apophysis jsut takes an artistic mind/artistic ideas ;)
