sweet, tut, nicely explained, good outcome
awesome job :D
nice tut, explained well
might have a go myself
Hey, where do you get your sprites from? Im having hard time finding good ones.
I used google :) Just type in KOF Sprites and it comes up with loads of them. Save them in your documents and open in Photoshop :)
This is my outcome:

Great outcome man. Only criticism here is the kind of stroke on each effect, perhaps if you removed the effects that stray to the right also. I love the effects going on behind him and everything. Nice one ;)
Wow nice tutorial I'll post result when I'm done.
Be sure to ;)
so many say they'll try it and never do :(
/facepalm
yay you fixed it!!!
Nice Result.
Here's my try: http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/9086/kkeeptheflow.jpg
Nice job with the effects but perhaps try some more curves and gradients to make them the same color as your render. Did you do the desaturate step?
That's a really nice outcome. I think you've oversmudged a tad but otherwise, gj ;)
Nice tut! I'm gonna try this as soon as I get the resources. :)
o_O You'd have 2 be mad not to try this tut out..
anyway
working on it now, I'll post outcome as soon as possible.
(20minutes later)
Hey dude, could you post the resources?
Sorry mate, I didn't really follow your tut step by step. I learned loads though. Hmm, I didn't desaturate my sig at all because I prefered my sig looking more vivid.
Anyhow, I decided to try out desaturating it after reading your post. It turned out pretty alright if I may say. I guess it's just a matter of preference. Which one do you think looks better?

If you added a little more light it'd be the one you just posted.
Don't think so. I didn't mess around with the colour balance at all with my first attempt. In this one though, I made the shadows bluey, highlights and midtones reddish.
Bump. Teehee.
nice tut i like spritey:D
