Tried 3-D typo again. Went for a simple, minimalistic look. Comments?

Looks great but the background and the splatters aren't as three dimensional as the typography, so it ruins that part of the effect.
i agree, i dont like the background for it, it just doesnt fit, the text is perfect imo, just change the background <3
Reminds me of this guy's work:
http://www.shinybinary.com/
I like it.
Eh, looks like you took alot of inspiration from that. :\
Don't get me wrong, I like it. But looking at the site ^^^^ mentioned, and then at yours. The pieces are so similar that it practically robs the originality from the piece.
Yeah, I actually followed a tutorial that guy made. Still trying to get the hang of getting the letters and perspectives down, so I need any help I can get. I'm a big fan of that guy's work, and when I saw he had made a tutorial I just had to use it.
Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.
It's fine Phayze, people follow tut's all the time, it's not stealing or ripping in any way. :D
Might not be as original but it's still damn good.
I apologize then, I didn't know it was a tutorial. It's one thing to see something and steal the idea. It's another entirely to see something, find a tutorial on it, and learn how to do it. In which case, congratulations, you seemed to have mastered the style and design of the original piece quite well. I hope to see personally embellished versions from you in the future!
Good job. ;)
Didn't mean to spark anything. If I had a nickle for every time I ripped off somebody's work, I'd be writing this post from my beach-side mansion.
P.S. Can I get a link to that tut?
yeah ive seen that tut before looks pretty good only the red background could use some work!
Its okay to draw inspiration from others the important thing is finding that twist and compostiton and so on that makes the piece your own. however as solaris said you master the effect and it looks really good what you need to improove on is how you blend them in your bg because right now the colors don't go well together try a different colour for the bg :D
Thank you for the comments everyone.
Here is the link to that tutorial:
