i would just fade in the effect above his hand, mostly the top of it, it now looks like hes holding some peace of glass with sharp edges, try to ctrl click that effect layer, preass add layer mask and increase feather value in masks panel, it will make some cool fading effect

Decrease the amount of effects around the neck cos you're kind of creating a fhs (floating head syndrome) but otherwise it looks good.
