well i discovered the pen tool the other day. i always knew it was there but had no idea what it did. so i did a little reading and learned it. i made every part of the cartoon with the pen. each color you see is a separate path. there's some really nice features to this tool that allow you to fill, stroke, and select areas enclosed by a path. hope you like it.

ya good idea mo, your tut is especially good for those who have no idea what the pen does at all (like me a few days ago). after you learn the basics, just experiment. i'm writing a tut soon on how to fill, stroke, and select paths that can really diversify your vector art.
not bad K but if u wanna give it a more vectory look knowch out the blured gradient type soft brush around the hair , vectors are more clean cut
pretty cool man. um....i used the pen tool maybe once or twice before i KINDA understand it and i KINDA dont. so i keep my distance from it atm.
The hair is too blurry in my opinion, Vectors are usually more sharp than that.
yeah that's true about the hair, but i when i said vector, i was referring to the vector paths used to create each of the layers. sorry for confusion.
Oh ok, fair enough, other than that it looks great mate.
cool, Ive been thinking about getting Illustrator for some time now to try out some true vector graphics, but im still hesitant, because i love my photoshop.
i cabt beleive so many people here dont know how to use the pen too... i mean this is a graphics forums isnt it?

there's those who are good with animation and brushes and the like, others who are better with making some freaky effects...
but really getting it on with the pen-tool is easier to learn for whoever has a little drawing skill...

Nice dude, i love vectors. Everybody should do it more!! im getting into them. I freaking love them. And dont bag on zekayem, we should know it. And i make just as many typos as he does, so f*cking what?? I feel more for zekayem now because i have found myself in the same spot kinda :p. but i wanna help the forum instead of just leaving.
I think this kind of situation could be handled pretty easily...
I'd make a poll abt how many members on gfxvoid are actually native English speaking... I'm not, I do make mistakes too...
I think a lot peeps are not english speaking, and so they should get some respect for still wanting to use their english as good as they can... ;)
I dont know how to make a poll though :P
abt pen tool, i've been getting some practice on it, I'll post a drawing in digi art later on of a ninja turtle i drew...:P
