What Exactly are Sprites?
I always thought they were midget renders....:D
So what are they?

sprites are characters that are in games (like mario,and alot of fighting games)

But why are they so small?

It's characters captured and rendered out from gameboy/nes/snes games etc.

They are small because the screen resolution of those game consoles are low.

It's characters from tv games, simple enough for you?

Do you have a DS? or a gameboy etc..

If you have a naruto game or something like that you have small characters. Thats a sprite.
Also you have sprites in lf2 games and such.

the most used sprite in sigs is the K-Sprite
