Looks a bit lq and maybe a tad oversharpened, you do have the right taste in anime however. ;]

looks pretty good, little sharp though.
the render looks like it was scanned from a manga cover or something.

and the anime was good uptill a certain point where "something happend" :p
the ending was just dissapoiting in my oppinion :/

I really needs some lighting. And it's oversharpend.
Maybe add some gradient maps to match the colors?

toned down the sharpness in V2 i see.
You really need to try to add some lighting.... this signature is asking for it :p You see his hand? it says: Gimme some lighting plz.... hehe :p
And as I already said some gradients to let the colors fit with eachother ;)
