This is a nice and happy piece, But I wished you've had done it bigger.
This would be super awesome at a size like 1440x900.
The vectory colors make it appealing to look at. Only bad remark should be the bg though, You could have filled that up with happyness:D

Yeah, first it was meant for a wallpaper (1280 x 640 or sometyhing like that)..
Changed my mind XD

and the bg.. didnt know what to do there. wanted to create a bit of a studio effect I guess .

I've seen this done many times before, and you have used the lq version of that stock which is why it had to stay that small flatty:) You have the right idea but the execution is off. Try to think more about compo.. position the figure in a more appealing way. Also the filter you used for lighting effects generally doesn't work- You get better results from the dodge and burn tools. And finally try to work on blending:)

So basically you have the right idea, just improve techniques, add details and try to be more original :)
