I hate the whole "must have a name" why is that rule in place?

yeah i really dont like that cause im bad at text

If it's for the legitimacy of that tag being yours, why not just make them submit a psd if it's called into question?

if you dont like it no offense dont enter just hide your name simple as that i dont want someone ripping your work or someone ripping work and using it in the SoTW its a rule just follow it :)

And that's why I don't enter :3

You could always just download a PSD pack and delete the name layer.. So thats why text is necessary.

if hiding your name is such a problem for you then never enter its not going to hurt me at all and that is all about that rule i will discuss now have your name on it or get DQed plain and simple end of story

I know, I just find it to be a ridiculous rule. If in the poll you have the names of the people it's from, then the rule shouldn't be instigated. A tag with no text is better than a tag with rushed or forced text.

rushed or forced ? we done rush you or force you to do anything if you cant manage your time while making something then dont submit it in the sotw just follow the rules or dont enter and that is all im tired of ppl not following simple rules then complaining about them

Well unfortunately, rules are rules, and text requirement is one of the rules for SOTW's. If you choose not to enter because of that, then that is your choice. Lets not turn this into an argument over something so trivial.

its cool man i understand where your coming from i know alot of ppl that dont put text on there work but we want our members to take credit for there work in the sotw and shoot you can always hide your text or put an F for your name if you like i dont put UnDeRoAtH on my tags i put oath its small and simple but you still know its mine

I think you guys should add that little tip to the rules cause I wasn't aware you could do that until now.

i like challenges, and text is challenging. i dont mind text.

I agree that Text is difficult to get right on any piece, this is why its essential to the competition factor of the SOTW. Only the best sig with all the fundamental elements done right should win, without good text (font, placement, color, depth) on top of everything else you need, it's not the best that week and probably will not get that many votes. This forces you to get better at text quickly, and try stuff you don't normaly do to show off to everyone that you are improving. But text kills almost any sig if you "fcuk it" up, lol

Good show! I agree with you on pretty much all of that statement right there. My reasons as to why I don't use text are a bit different than just "I can't do it however." Regardless, it is indeed just as you say, text will kill if not done correctly. I loved the fcuk it jab, very good indeed.
