Hmm I see what you're trying to do here. Your render neerds to blended in more and work a bit on depth. A light source would also help this sig out.
I really struggle with blending, i could do with a tut or something like that
Text looks nice.
The BG itself shares no color relation with the render you used.
It looks like a red and blue type of BG and the render is light green.
Work on coordinating your colors and yes, blending needs work.
I don't see a light source, might wanna add that.
Kiu.
It nice for a first ps sig!
I like the border style.
Everything else is said above me :)
It's not a first sig, i used GIMP before
Oh sorry, first photoshop sig I mean :)
Dont really know the difference between those 2 but ps is a lot more advanced right?
blending blending blending. The space stock and effects in the background are nice and clear, but they look like a completely separate entity than the render. Your render and bgs colors dont match and are not blending together.
I like the sparkles and effects, but i would suggest darkening and blurring the outter edges to create a clearer focal point.
not a big fan of the border... just personal opinion though.
overall you have some nice thoughts here, keep workin mate :D
I wouldn't say lots, it is definately more, but i learnt GIMP pretty well, so it seems like photoshop isn't as advanced as people who don't use GIMP would think, anyway, i worked on a new version of it (thank god for the paintbrush tool):

Aswell, could someone give me a suggestion of where to put a light source?
Well, you can see the right side of the render is lighted, so it would be logical to put the light source in the top right corner.
Ok, i will create one now
much better blending on the second one. But the right side is a bit overcontrasted and bright. I would suggest a 100px soft brush in black over it and the lower that layers opacity.
Do you mean the left side?
yea my bad, lol
Haha, no worries
This is like the fourth time tonight you've pretty much totally jacked my crit. =<
V2 is huge leaps over the other one. The border was detracting hugely.
I'd do more to incoroporate your stock into the bg somehow. Maybe play with some smudging, or clipping masks, or something. It feels too pasted on. Even something small in front of it would help.
A question, what the hell is a clipping mask?
Ok, i updated the sig, and made two versions, one with the border and one without:

Looks awesome!
Wondering... How d'you do the stars?
Mounty
A clipping mask is where you use a Brush (any only brush will do) and you put it on a empty layer.
Next you make a new layer and place whatever image you want on that new layer.
Then you right click on that layer and go to Create Clipping Mask.
Once you've done that you will see that the image has covered the areas where you brushed on the layer before.
Download some of the voids resource packs, you will see plenty of clipping masks.
The sig is looking better. much better focal point and blending
