C&C please. Working on this was pretty fun, but I want to know what you all think of it.

I remember you mentioned this was made without other's resources. Good job taking that initiative! I like the idea and look, but some things need improvement.
The contrast is too high. Your background is too dark and your foreground (focus) is too light/flat.
The text doesn't fit where it is. Maybe try to fit in closer to the focus-area?
Imo the image is too saturated. Changing the saturation can help you draw focus in to certain areas of your piece. Personally I would remove the red and choose a more greenish colour. That way you have a better colour theme.
I'm fond of the triangle-shades, maybe work on that a bit more?
Keep at it!
this is a tutorial found in abduzeedo.com right?
This was my play on the tutorial, yes. I used that in a few ways, then went back over it and changed things.
Meh I've seen that tutorial done so many times... you could have maybe changed the letter at least?
I used the letter A because of my last name. Albro. Otherwise, I would have changed it.
i swear ive seen this on google for some company :/
That is very strange. Unless you mean the tutorial for doing something similar to this on abduzeedo.com, it is very strange. This has my name on it, and was made by me. If someone else is using this with my name on it, I would like to know who.
That tutorial has been around for quite some time now.
if you just made it but it has been around longer than you made, than it isn't your work xD
as said above, you followed a tutroial, so it is very obvious that this was made before you ever made it, and thats fine, thats what tuts are for is to learn off of the examples and to try them out. Tuts arn't ment to be followed to the very letter your supposed to try new things and see whta you like :)
kiu this is a good start.
Gotta agree with this 100%. You don't need to know if something is #aabbcc colour or set to 12% exactly. I still use tuts quite a bit, but I tend to use parts of them rather then the entire document. I'll see an effect I like, or a step I'm not quite sure about and what I read to recreate my own object.
Great example is my Gear work avatar. I've used gears in alot of things but I had to read a tut on creating gears to understand the initial process that I'll need to know.
Still it's a good job and lets see you improve on that a bit more. ;)
Yeah I noticed a was your last name but you could have added a c as well? Or experimented with the compo... Anyways, try not to follow the tut exactly is what I'm trying to say...
