Is it for money? Or just for fun? Do you have to download anything?
Just out of curiosity - I don't enjoy playing cards.
it can be for both, yea u have to d/l it, not a big file, i play for fun has play money..but they have real money tables if u wanna earn some cash if ur good and have luck of course B)
how's the legitamacy of this site. i noticed it's governemt by the government of gibraltar. i can't say that sounds promissing. i'm interested in playing both for fun and for real money.
I've done some researching on google and didn't find anything that said it was a scam. but i'd like to know what you think about it.
Yea i like cards i got party poker i party on That word iv'e been saying poker :o and man id whipp your a** sooo bad on that game you should check out pokerstars.com Pretty Sweat - §niper
It's the most official site i know of. I used to do it a lot. But now im consumed with graphics and stuff. It's pretty fun, though i never used real money.
i think its legit, i mean they have ads on espn world series of poker on it...that should say enough if it has commercials right ? during wsop (world series of poker)
alot of people play real moeny as i can see, they even have play-money tourneys...but don tplan me if u lose money haha not that u will just dont wanna be held responsible, u knw what i mean
lol i wouldnt play real money dude, you could lose a LOT on there.
cuz u cant use poker faces, luck is envolved etc..
Exactly, it's less skill and more luck.
my cousin plays poker online.. but i duno if he uses that, and yes he plays for money bcos he says if ya dont then people jsut mess about an go all in on every hand
i like playing poker, but i would never play online for money
hmm its not just about 'reading people'. a lot of the time it is about being familar with each player's style of playing, knowing how they bet and so forth.
Normaly you cn learn this during a game, but there tends to be methods of betting which gives you cue's on what is happening.
I occasionaly play poker at the casino, though the odds realy suck (very stacked in towards the house's advantage) but I enjoy it.
I enjoy watching the Scottish televised poker, the american world series poker is bloody annoying. if they cut out the interviews, the lights flashing everywhere, the cameras being pushed in front of people and all the 'flashy crap' then it would be enjoyable. but thats american tv for you. The Scottish one was so much better done. Its done on a table with glass where they have to place their two cards on squares so the camera can show you whats going on. also the commentary is actualy useful.
As for the online ones, on one of the american world series poker ones, on the final table one of the guys had spend a couple of years playing on line before trying his hand in the tournaments. i reckon he learnt plenty from on line. not sure which site he used, may have been the site that brought the pope's car and the holy sandwich.
hahahaha nice. Man scottish sounds awesome, i wanna see those glass tables :-D :P
i play party poker and truepoker.... i find truepoker better
and i only play holdem
that online guy was fossilman (dunno his real name).. but being good online can be a whole different thing in real tables, depends how u r i guess..
true i spose, though watching while watching the american one, its obvious that the bet a person makes helps people decide what type of hand they have and whether they could beat em. I spose the body language is more about determining if they are bluffing.
It's actually much harder. Seeing peoples ticks and having constant conversation makes the game much easier. It's less about luck and more about card counting, which in my opinion is much harder to do.Quote:

"more harder"? interesting. . .anyways, i didnt' say it was easier, i just said it was more luck. :-D
hmmm i would say luck has a larger factor, though i still wouldn't discount the issue of dertermining what a person has by how they bet and how their style of play affects their betting and bluffing. There's more than one way to read a person, not just body language.
your right.. 43 u thinking of doing it or not? just curious...
Well i've always been very good at reading people. It sounds hokey, but I can get a vibe from people immediatly. Usually I can tell what someone's home life is currently and what it was like growing up from 5 minutes of conversation about something completely unrelated. So by removing the human contact aspect it makes it much more difficult for me.Quote:

Status,
No, after reading through their terms and usage policy I've decided not to. They reserve the right to take screen captures of your computer and check your currently running apps at any time. Although it's probably very legit, and i can see how those aspects would be needed to prevent cheating, I would prefer if that sort of thing wasn't on my computer where I keep very sensitive information. I have no reason to think that pokerparty isn't legitemate or would abuse their powers, but i'd prefer to avoid any risks when it comes to that.
i agree 100%, lol no prob man..i aint with partypoker i aint avertising B)
