What do you think about tattoo's?
No.
I'd rather stay away from them, because they get so pruney when you get old. I've seen it before, and it looks gawd-awful. I felt more sorry for that tat than I did for the old man.

i think meaningful ones are good. but a lot of people just get stupid things. like all the tribal stuff. unless you're polenisian, you shouldn't have one. and there's always people that are like "well this tribal was for my dead grandfather"...well then get "grandpa" or "pappy" or his picture or something meaningful about him, you jackass. The worst part is that EVERYONE has a tattoo now. it's such a hip thing to do. i don't have any, nor do i have any peircings. But i'm not against them either. I'm in the tattoo shop more than my friends, but if i'm going to put something on my body it's going to need special meaning to me. Tattoo's are supposed to be about expression not about fitting in, or looking like a badass.
Yes
I think, to a certain extent, they are good. If you get a tattoo for a good reason - thats a constant memory of it. If you get it to fit in or something, I think thats stupid. A kid that I know got tatooed over his stomach "Fuck This" (with an arrow pointing down), and on his back "Fuck Ya'll". Now - thats really fucking stupid.
hahahaha pruney xD.....well my religion forbids me from getting a tatoo.Quote:

Personaly I don't mind tatoo's, they can be a form of art. My preference is for the pure black ones or ones with very limited colour.
But one has to remember the impact of having tatoo's. If you have one that is visible while wearing a shirt and pants, then it will have an impact on job interviews. It may be illegal to discriminate against people with tatoos, but employers regulary discriminate against all sorts of things.
So before you get one you have to consider what career you plan to have and whether such a visual mark will impact that career. Also remember that what you want to be at 13, 16, 18 and even 22 will often be a lot different to what your doing when your 30.
exactly metal. One of my friends has a VW (Volkswagen) tattoo on his forearm. He thought it was real cool at the time, and he actually does get a slight discount at a local VW shop. But he really wishes he hadn't gotten it now. He tries telling people that he was drunk when he got it, but i was there and he wasn't. He honestly thought it was a real cool thing to do at the time, but now he's branded with a logo for a car that he may never drive again after this one. That's why if I ever get a tattoo it will be for something that is life changing to me and is going to be constant. Like a family member dying, I'd get a remembrance tattoo. Or if I was in the military or won the olympics, anything major like that. But everyone is just getting them becuase it's the cool thing to do. That whole lower back flowery/tribal design thing is SOOOOO OVERDONE! Every girl on the planet has that same stupid thing, but everybody keeps saying there's is original.. :sigh:
Anyway, my point is don't be original there's no such thing. Be heartfelt and earnest and get something meaningful that isn't going to change as often as your favorite band.
i think tribal ones look kinda cool - but yeah they are overdone
oh and about getting them : no i wouldnt, same reason as someone else said.
oh and ice, what religion are ya (i didnt know of any that couldnt have tatoos)
muslim..... dw im not with osama hahaha  as you know theres many kinds of religions with many kinds of following....Quote:

oh cool :)
i wana be buddhist... did you know thats an atheistic religion?
absolutely agree with 43
Ive got a tat on my right forearm. its a capital C for my last name and on my left forearm im getting a roman numeral 4 (IV) because theres 4 members of my family.
No one can tell me my tattoos are stupid because I didnt get ink for them, I got it for me. So really if you wanna get a tattoo of a volkswagon symbol i say go for it. if you regret it thats your own fault, but dont ever NOT do something because someone thinks its a stupid idea.
Unless of course it really truely is stupid lol.
i dont really care about tattoos too much. maybe its cause im too young to get one.

sigh...we live in a corrupted world
...buddhist arent meat eaters thou...vegetarians haha..
I don't now because I'm 15, but when I'm out on my own I'm going to have a cruxified teddy bear across my back. It's bear will look similar to the bear to the one in this pic.
I really want to get a tattoo. I have it picked out, and the location on my body, for now I'm just waiting, like a year to make sure that it's what I really want. What I'm getting is sort of a band symbol, but I'm taking out every aspect that is related to the band. From Autumn to Ashes has a big grungey X for their logo and I'm getting that, but removing the FATA that is in it. And I'm getting it in a really discreet spot, just below my belly button (which is going to hurt a lot) so I'll be the only one who will see it...other than girls who you know..go there. ;)
owh cool. but do consider the long term effects...Quote:

I think Tabloids tatoo style is perfect. I dont think you can get much more respect from having a tatoo.
I think that if it is symbolic of something, then you should get it. Such as family, friends, yourself even. Just not some girl/guys name because you never know if you will get divorced/broken up or something.
I only want the crucified teddy because wit would look cool, but I'll likely change my mind to soemthing more meaningful.
Maybe a small caption underneith it like. Goodbye Childhood, hence the bear...
i am for them but only under certain situations.... like my friend got a cross wit his dads birthday and deathdate and it says "R.I.P. Dad" which i think is cool bcuz its for his father. i aslo think when people get tattoos that has somethin to do with there herritage or race then thatz cool as well
like me im gettin an 3 leaf clover with the irish colors in it.
but for people who get them becuas they got the money to then its stupid.
oh and for someone who brought up the peircings, i think there kool up to a certain extent. like havin ur toung peirced 2 times.... its stupid once maybe but not 2 times.... personally myself i have 3 peircings. both my ears and my labret (some people kno it as the lip) but just dont push it wit peircings, like this guy who cutz my hair has the back of his neck peirced which i think is pretty cool but in the long run its pretty stupid.
i like that caption...cool :lol:Quote:

About the piercings:
I personally love them, I got my left eyebrow pierced the day school let out, It is really awsome, I also have both ears.
And yea that Is a cool caption, me likes. Sry 4 DP.
That's why I've/I am waiting the year before I get it done.Quote:

i would never get my mouth or toungue peirced casue it wuld hurt to eat, kiss and wateva else ya wana do with your mouth... :P
plus food would taste weird
I had a friend who almost got 2 W's tatoo'd on his asscheeks, so when he bent over it said WoW but he could also flip it over to say MoM... that guy was a total dumbass... My dad, who used to be im bomb disposal, has a tattoo of his crest from his miliatary command for each time he almost died on his chest. Which I think is really cool. He's thinking of getting some text saying "Thank you lord..." underneath them, because he is retired now and is thankfull every time he see's the tatoos
i just dont like the idea of making holes with your body hahahaQuote:

i agree with that :)
Personally, I think tatoos are awesome... I'll probably end up getting a few when I get older. They'll have legitimate meaning however, and will probably either be something I design myself or some music-related material (lyrics, band logos, etc).
Band logos are the biggest mistake you'll ever make if you wanna get a tattoo as much as you LOVE the band now, in 10 years you'll wonder what the hell you were think, always. Its inevitable.
The best way I was told to be sure you want to get whatever your design is tattooed is to carry a picture of your design in your wallet or tack it to your bathroom mirror and look at it every day for two months. if after the two months your not effing sick of it, get the ink. I did that, for two years, and it was only because I had to move out of my parents house before I could get the ink done.
I have a friend with an enormous Pantera tattoo in the middle of his back, its about the size of a football if you traced a football. of course he regrets it but he'd never tell people just because it is so stupid lol.
Anyway, thats all my advice for now.
Yes
If you get one and you're worried it'll look bad, just get one on your ass. That way you don't have to see it when it gets wrinkly!
I want to get a tattoo though.
Im from the islands of the South Pacific and its in our culture to get the tribal tatoos from our knees up to our lower chest/mid abdomen which is like the step from a boy to a man. However different countries from the nearby islands to it different, some may get their tribes design only on their arm or a leg whereas others will do their whole thigh and mid bodies. Its a rather painful experience and many people in Australia now are doing it for the looks and not the tribes significance which really takes out the meaning of the tatoo.
Just a lil thought about the tribal stuff.
I also think its not wrong but there are many reasons why and why not which i wont go into. But personally they are not wrong however when people exploit such things as the Pacific Island tribal tats then i think its wrong because the significance is gone.
I think its kinda dumb. My sister got one when she turned 18 of a star. I think it was pretty stupid because I think she was getting one, just to get one. I'm sure she will regret it when she gets older.
well, it depends how you look at it
i dont like how people have the offencive, large, tattoos, but i guess like a small ones ok
im too young to get one though, and i probly never will get one (ill be too scared  )
I don't have tattoos. They can look quite trashy. But, I've seen some I like. I like them on men, detest them on women. I can tolerate them but piercing no and branding HELL NO! Masochistic and depraved..............and fugly to boot.
if i ever get one it'll say No Quarter, because its the song i was listening to when i was in a car accident in november.
Tattoo's used to make you different, now they just make you the same. ...And I HATE it when a girl gets a tattoo. It ruins her natural look. Uhhh-gly!!
w0t i think is that
tattoos are just markings, u dont have to get all upset about it.
everyone has their body, and can do whatever they want with it.
And if some1 u know regrets getting a tattoo, that doesnt mean everyone will regret it.
i dont mind tattoos.
I agree with what metal said. If you do end up getting tattoo's, don't put them in a visable face (face, neck, arm, hand, etc). I would tattoo my body entirely under my t-shirt line - mainly because people don't see it unless you want to show it.
Anything vulgar or temporary (gang related, swear words, sex related) I feel is a bit... much. I don't know how or what i'm going to like in 10 years - so I don't want to make the mistake of getting any 'gangster-type' tatoo (ie: gangster lettering. I was considering getting something in old english on my upper back...
Not sure yet.
