i can't tell what it is but the colours look a bit bland ish

Looks a lot like your Samus. Really good, but not quite there.. Its missing an extra somethin, cant put my finger on it.

I know what you mean. I used the same style as the Samus sig but I think the Samus sig turned out better.

I love the Smudge Style But the samus one is better out of the two, The render looks lq which lessens the appeal to it. kiu the smudge looks great

the smudge looks good but other than that it is very empty...
Idk if you really could anything to change that but for now it looks like the style could use some work.

Thanks, guys. It's a pretty simple style, so I'll probably end up making a tut. The lighting is really the hardest part.

Try a couple c4ds going with the flow, could end up really badass

Yeah, I tried some c4ds but it eliminated the smooth feel to it. That's the hard part.

hmm if c4ds don't work maybe on a smaller canvas?
You could crop the sides to make it a pretty neat vert tag

This smudge style of yours looks really neat, but it looks a little empty like others have said...
I think your Samus one turned out better because there's a more intricate colour scheme that was incorporated into your smudging.
Anyway, it's still pretty cool, I think you should keep working to improve this style. :]
