Thanks mate and yeah I noticed it was a bit short, I could've made it longer by breaking the info up a bit more and adding more steps.

Yeah, that's about it, maybe a few effect C4D's if I feel it needs to have them :).

You care a lot about backgrounds for tuts, tag walls and stuff like that.

I do as well, the colored one would be much nicer if the colors were stronger.

It's just basic soft brush. Go to your brush tool, take a decent size soft brush out, pick your color and place it on the light orbs. Set that layer on linear dodge. If you're still confused I'd be willing to show you it over teamviewer.
