Sorry this might be a noob question but what is a vector?

and i dont know what a vector is either, care to fill us in?
in regards to photoshop, a vector is a shape that will retain its quality no matter how big or small it is resized (as opposed to a rasterized image which gets noticable pixelated when you oversize it). vectors can be made using the pen tool or any of the shapes tools. vector art is usually defined by crisp, clean cut colors.
i do a lot of my work in the style of vector art. i can't actually call it vector art cuz db will yell at me and say that i shouldn't use shading... <_<
anyways you can refer to the tutorial in my sig for a pretty decent introduction to vectors.
I'm practicing vector, so in a few days or so, you should see mine.
I like how you did the lghts,and the moon. Good job. I really like the snow.
I should have known that i watched loads of flash tuts and i learnt all that. :P

but yeah vector art is more clean cut, howeever the stuff bigk does is vector, just with shading - like kocho (hes amazing)
now back to tha sig, i think its pretty good, i like the detail you have put in like the railings and snowflakes diff opac, overall its rele good :)
(subnote) a vector is a variable quantity used in math, and an animal that carries a disease producing microorganism from person to person, usually an insect
