wow i am impressed. i dunno how hard that is to make but from the little experience i have with those programs, that seems pretty difficult. i look forward to the finished product.
For such a thing, I would normally use Lightwave, but I decided to use C4D, it was challenging.

Damn dude, you have some skills there. How did you do all that stuff?? Like the "plates" on the back, and the joints. Did you use splines at all or was it all just primitives and meta balls? did you use booleans? I have c4d but i donno how to model very well.

Actually, that is my first try at real models in C4D, I usually do abstract. All of those ridges are just bevels from cubes. There are basically 4 vubes being used in that whole peice. The thorax, the abdomen, the upper leg, and the lower leg. The hardest part is modeling, there isn't really some deep-rooted technique to it. Just lots of bevels, that was the main too (bevel).
hmm sounds interesting. Did you do it all in sets and stuff? It might be smart to do it that way so later you can do joints and stuff.

Now i want to make something :lol: Anyway, this spider is going really nice, i did have a site a while back that had an animation of the movement of a spder but ive lost it.
