That looks great considering it was made with only CSS and XHTML!
there are images. but i used as few as possible. I really wanted it to be completely barebones. Just enough to imply an interface, and nothing more. Kind of let the work speak for itself.
it's nice...... did you code it your self?
yes. i do all my own coding. i use dreamweaver in text editting mode only. I like the code highlighting dreamweaver has, and the little xhtml & css reference thing is real handy.
Looks really clean and simple. I like it alot. Cant wait for the update.
That is a brilliant layout. The only suggestion I have is I don't really like the images of your work opening in a new window. But that's just me.
i was thinking about that. but i can't think of another way to do it without Frames, Javascript, or expanding the size of the layout, or making the page loads gigantic.
thank you all for the comments.
:edit:
layout updated
Wow, that is a GREAT portfolio style, especially for you! I'm a huge fan of that light minimalist style. So sexy...
Also took a look at your work, that is some great art you have there!
Very impressive my friend. I'd like to see a lot more of your graphic art though bro. I love the layout, clean and simple always comes off well.
As far as images opening in new windows, I use firefox so its new tabs, but even in new windows its better then it opening on the same page, to me anyway.
Well done though man, I look forward to updates.
looks really nice man. Simple yet cool!.
Very nice, as i've already said on AIM. I think including so much contact info(including phone #) might be a little dangerous though :p. Also, what's digicomplex? Is that your site as well? And what is vulpes design?
that number is my office number. But you're probably right, I've taken it down.
Digicomplex is my hosting company. It was started by someone and they aquired me as a designer. Vulpes was/is a design company I started that was aquired by digicomplex as well.
i <3 minimalistic, im gona have a minimalistic house when i get one, with white walls... and stuff...
it looks great man, really good balance oforange grey and emptiness
OMG db, i wish you saw my rant on simplicity.
pm me it
;)
i do liek minimalistic things, but i agree that sometimes people go over the top
btw, my sig is a joke so i hope you not ranting about it
Illegal and I had a discussion about it on AIM. Too many people are just making something fast and then calling it minimalist. minimalist doesn't mean easy, and simplicity is not simple. you need to understand balance, color theory, eye movement, etc... people just don't get it and it's upsetting because it's like they're not even trying. like "oh i'll just call it this, and then people will think i'm cool and knowledgable". There's a lot of work involved in minimalism. I'm no master at it, and I still spend hours moving objects 1px at a time to find the perfect balance. :sigh:
off topic? you bet. but it's my thread.
lol 43, like i went off topic in mine... then sum1 deleted the posts
but yeh, i move things 1pix at a time sometimes
this inspires me to make some real minimalistic work
Very nice mate.
Love the layout, love the effects. Overall I love it, very clean, very neat. I reckon you could have gone for a slightly larger overall size, but thats the only observation.
Gonna sneek a peek at your css to see how you have done some things, but I suspect i know already.
I'll have to post mine too btw, been working away at css, is interesting :D
when i saw the subtopic title i was like....did he design a new beer...? rofl
Adam Lite...lmao it made me think of sam adams
back on topic this is a very nice minimalistic site i like it...tho maybe just do squares with colored borders instead of those file sheets
""
ooh terrible ...
but that layout is really good , i just dont like that menu i think its too big, i would make those letters with their frames smaller.....
and 43 i just wanna ask u at sumthing can u basically explain me whats better or different from html on xHtml ,?????

Yeah I agree about the size. I was considering upping it, but the size you see is the max viewable size on an 800x600 res without any page scrolling. And considering the content pages scroll themselves, I didn't want the additional scroll bar. But what do you think? is the 800x600 group that important? should I just up it, and forget them?
Like I say on the About page, if you have questions about how any of the stuff works, just send me an email and i'll try to help out.
