I like it..I think the watery thingy is a bit too strong, it lessens the depth a bit to me.
What watery thing?
I don't like the lines coming from the lighting.
Reminds me of a certain flag.

UK?
The white stuff at the bottom, I'm guessing it's a watery foam thingy.

Ohh. The smoke.
Oh let me find it lol.

thanks.
Any more cnc?
The pen tool lines isn't that well placed, you should've put more thought into it. So instead of giving him flow, you've boxed him in. And the curved lines doesn't fit this type of stock imo.
Not sure about using the Japanese rising sun flag as the main effect. Those are usually only used as the bg of your art.
The text on the left looks good, like a tattoo. But the right side text needs a more regular font to blend in.
You've overdone the fog brush since it way to white, looks like snow now. Bg color and effect colors are a bit washed out.
So to sum it up, overkill. You've mixed so many different mediums that doesn't work that well together.
Hope it's not to harsh on you, I beleive honesty is the best way to learn and improve :)
Ps. Feel free to post it in my tut thread too. The most fun part with creating a tut is to see outcomes.

Yeah. I understand. I wanted a shockwave like effect on the end of the gun but I didnt know how to do it. So I thought of having some line vectors.
Try ripple for shockwaves ;)
How?
It depends if you want shockwave lines or circles?
For lines use an c4d effect pictures which has straight lines, almost looking like the rising sun hehe. Paste it in and set to some cool blend mode, go to filter/disort/ripple and play some with the settings. Move around and rotate the outcome, transform using warp if needed, and erase unwanted parts.
For shockwave circles use the pen tool to create and stroke circles. Start with small circles at the opening of the gun and make them bigger as you go further away from it. Ripple them and add some styles or effects etc.

Nice looks cool
