OMFG! I just got laid off this morning because I make to much money lol. Get this, I got a buddy who does tremendously less work (when I say less I mean like a city worker that leans on a shovel all day) than I and gets paid 25 an hour while I get 17 and I am the one laid off!! lol

^^^^^^^^^^^ He prob could. Or you could get them for discrimination if your a diff race,gender,etc from him/her.
there's a huge crackdown going on right now on workplace discrimination being fueled by the LBGTQ community so you probably do have a chance.

thanks for the support guys, and omg got the best news this morning, im so glad I got paid off. I can go on Employment Insurance and there is something called Skills Training Benefit (since ive paid over 10,000 in the last year to them) that I can utilize and they pay for my tuition in full and its non-repayable, lol. Never thought I would say getting laid off was the best thing that ever happened to me, lol. :)
