Yay!!
I finished my first spacescene :D
It's a bit plan at the top. But I really love it.
I think it's quitte good for my first space, what do you guys think?

shudnt post outside links to dA.... tsk tsk..
Overall, it looks good.
But the perspective on the planets 'rings' are off perspective-wise.
A damn good 1st Space Art, I must admit.
i like it, but i agree with psypher about the rings
Wiz2k
Thanx ^_^
Here is an edit:
I changed the rings a bit, made a whole new planet(much more detailed)
I also deleted the comet.
Is this edit better or not?
Pleymo's Utopia
i like the new planet.
i didn't see the comet before you told me about it..
the rings still don't seem to be right though...
Wiz2k
Why does all space are have to be sharp and rough. I like it but thats te problem. Rabies' space art is cool.
I couldnt see any problems with the rings...
In the second one the rings and planet are grainy. In the first the planet is very nice, i think i liked thefirst better. The rings are a tad off, and taking the comet out was a good thing. :D
You saved it as a GIF didnt you?? Should save it as a png.
I like it. Not much to say, its casual space art.
could you write a tut to make rings around yor planets?
As for the pic. It's actuall quite nice. But there is this scigaly thing in the bottom right corner. I cant find out what it is. Well good job
Yay, space art! :)
The ring's perspective is wrong, looks a bit odd. I'd say remake the rings and also place them further away from the planet, so there's a greater distance between the rings and the planet.
The first planet is better, has better colors. You should use that one! :)
The nebulas looks like they've been brushed with Jashin's brushes. Try to use other brushes since those brushes are best for grungier stuff.
Also work on the starfield. You should see more small stars then large stars since they are further away. I can also discover some patterns in the starfield, you should have a look at that. ;)
If you think it's worth it, keep working on it! If I where you, I would add something else to the pic, like a distant planet or something. :)
That's what I call real critic xD
Thanx man! I will work on it, but I don't really know how to make good nebula's. And do I have to make the rings look like a solid ring(1st pic) or do I have them to look like a gas? (2nd pic)
Well, I'm not that good at creating nebulas either (yet). :D
I would go with the second, but it looks like .gif quality. :S
And did you check the tutorials in my guide in Graphic Discussion? I'm sure they can come in handy. :)
Ummm... rings are mad of dust particles so i'd suggest a bit of a grainly effect. Also the ring is off perspective notice how it is larger at the back... It should be larger to the front... As rabie said there should be more smaller stars than bigger ones as further distance, wider range of view thus more small stars... I don't like the new planet colours it seems too varied & doesn't blend to well... Try colourising your lens flares to give you star feilds more colour... For a first its great :)
Ah, now I've seen it ^_^
I used exactly the same tutorials for the starfield and the planet(for my 2nd planet, I used your tutorial)
But if I want more smaller stars and less big stars I've to make a new starfield, I guess... And I think I keep this starfield and I'll make a better starfield on my next space art :)
I'd just brush them in... no big problem... It'd be great to see your next one...
But if you brush it, the most will look the same. :)Quote:

And every time you make a starfield by following that tut, you get another awsome starfield(mine=not awsome xP)
And my next one will be some better, but I guess it won't be MUCH better
Here I tried !SilkAssassin's tutorial.
But I guess this one also doesn't look good. xP
Pleymo's Utopia
Btw, i changed the planet's rings and changed the picture's color a bit and also added a small galaxy(??) in the upper right corner
looks cool... the ring's good now... the galaxy & stars need work but... yeah... it's good :)
actually i think the stars was great, Its usually the same shit everywhere 'couse everyone uses the same brushes, but urs looks original, nice^^
Much better! The rings fits the planet more, but I would make an even greater distance between them and the planet. Right now it looks a bit "toy-ish". :P Also put like 10% grain to it, it will look more like it's made of bigger particles.
Nebula is better, but try different colors. You don't want the colors to be boring, so try to use more than one color for this one. :)
Work on that galaxy too, remember they are made of stars, so I guess they are kinda hard to do. But try your best!
And you removed the nebula thing that was above the planet. I thought it looked pretty good, gave nicer balance.
thats a nice space scene
I LIKE THAT ALLOT BETTER THAN MY SPACE SCENE
I didn't think there were open black parts in space. Heh.
And It looks alright, tnohing really amazing, but nothing that really stands out except the things that Rabies said.
I like it. Looks great to me man, awesome for your first try!
