use a big pic for this tutorial, mine was originally 1600x1200
so... step 1. choose a pic.

copy the layer and select the new layer... then stamp it (Filter->Sketch->Stamp) and choose Cutout (Filter->Artisic->Cutout)
When you stamp it try to keep as many details as possible... it may look messy but the cutout will take care of that.

set the blending to Overlay, and there you have it!

there are probably alot of similar (hopefully not identical) versions of this tutorial... well... enjoy.

due to some comments i would like to add that u get a better result by using a pic with few details.

I tried it, but the picture turned out really scary... you could still see a lot of the original picture. I think it was just the picture i used, it was weird in the beginning o___O awesome tut tho, i love the result!

yah i love this, have tried it a few times, found that it works best on pics simple pics, the less detail and more defined a pic is to start, the better the result at the end... good stuff

I have problems coloring it

youre not supposeed to color it unless u want to... but the purpose of thius tut is that ure supposed to make a pic inta a comic like pikture

this is awsome, i used to have to do like, 30,0000 steps to just try to make it look like that, and then i had to colour it in myself&#33; and that was in a pro. photoshop magazine, this is much better and much more simple&#33; thanx
