What Does Your Nick Mean To You?

KK So lately I've been talking with a lot of ppl about what their nick names mean to them and possible how you came to be known as the name.

I myself picked my nick Slave while playing an mmorpg called Lineage 2 and she was originally y char that buffed my main char. So at first she was just my slave that I made follow me around, but soon I realized that this name meant more to me than just a joke name to an extra char....

I am a slave to my addictions, I have the personality trait to become obsessed with what I enjoy and I take it to the extremes. I can't just have one bowl of ice cream I have to have 2, can't just play a video game for an hour I stay up all night to get what I want. Nice clean house to sit in because I just can't stop cleaning. Sex.... Need I say more ? Smoking,drinking ... PS for the past year has become my latest obsession and now Void. I can not go a day without opening it, no matter how hard I try, so this is what my nick name means to me, I am a Slave to my addictions and I am now comfortable with that and have accepted that as face value.

My name means pretty much nothing. It has been a name I have been using for games for like 12 years. The way I thought of it was just looking at my dog and said he had fur, so I was like yeah thats cool.

it suddenly popped in my head about 6 years ago. when i used it for an forum.
i was 10/12 and i thought it would sound cool :D
no further backstory's about it. never picked an other username haha :)

I got kinetics, from a while back when i downloaded shiftyj's Kinetic Brush Pack for CS3, and that is what got me into GFX so its a big deal for me :D

About five years ago I went to an arcade and played on a motorbike game, I went to type my name in on the high-score list but I leaned too far to the right and mispelled my name, that's how ketg came about xD

it's actually the first time that I used this nickname on a forum.
It was, when I made this acc, something that I wanted to be. It was some sort of goal. I wanted to be a cs4pro. And I still want to be it :) Cause I still have a lot to learn. I have used another nickname on a couple of game-forums. I'm not really into this games anymore but I'm still there. My nickname on the game-forums is so stupid. I know it, but I'm known with that name. So I don't want to give it up. It's a bit like losing your identity :p

I originally made the name ColdDegree as my gamer tag for a game called Super Smash Bro's Brawl. However, At first my alias was Noob, but then i got to pro and had to drop the name ;-; Anyways i dont really remember how i got the name but it's been my alias for about every account i have online

Prostyle was the name I choose because I wanted to become a Pro of Sig lol :) its simple...Soon ill post some of my work hopefully

gotenks9144 - Dragonball fan
liltony9144 - Was in a Mafia family guild and I figured "tony" sounded more italian LOL
[lil Tony] - changed above name up a bit. I used this on graphic design forums from 2004-2008.
[Anthony] - Dropped the little.
AnthonyE - just my name.
Refulgence4n7 - Refulgence means brilliance. 4n7 is the first part of Anthony in 1337 lol. This was my gamertag.
I'm not a fan of those "cool" sounding nick names.

My name is Lex.. I just spelled it backwards and added the o, wich is the first letter of my familyname. Sometimes I shorten it to XL, cause that looks better on a sig.... that's about it lol. :)

Yup, glad you understand me.

Its a song by Dethklok, and I happened to be watching Metalocalypse at the time I was creating my character on an mmorpg, so I figured I look up some of their songs to give me ideas, and I came away with this.

Well my name was Razeredge. I got it from my cousins...we all put Razer in our names xD. Like one of my cousins was 'Sky Razer'. We played MMORPGS with those names..I decided to drop edge and put GFX so now I got Razer GFX :D.

Well my old Nick,Slayerplayer, was just a silly name that I used for MMORPGs. It was cool at the time because of the rhyme and generally in games you tend to do a lot of slaying.. and a lot of playing. So BAM

Now this name is just used so people can call me by my name as well as know what I do, GFX.
