The version 1s of both the smaller and larger canvas have a grainy look to them.
This doesn't give out the best look for this type of style IMO
So I do prefer the v2's.
The yellow spots look awesome and fit nicely.
As said would look pro with a nice render
I really like this style and hope to see you pursue it a bit further

Thx all :)
There's no topaz version btw :P Smooth version is just 2px smudging without textures ^^.
And yea I tried something with a render ^^. But.... http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/5633/shanasmudge.png
Yea, collab with myself lol xD
Couldn't get it blended if I didn't add anythink in foreground, and thought it looked pretty sexy :).
CnC on this one too please?? :)

Well first of all i would say i like the tag. It looks good. Now come CnC part.:p
As you know smudge and c4d style both are different. I mean to say if you work hard on making a smudge tag than you should have added render in it and made a fully smudge tag. Don't get me wrong i man to say smudge would have look better. Now comes the lighting part. Its good that you can do lighting in a good way that soft brush technique. I also use it a lot. But you see that yellow lighting is somewhat more. Like see right side after the render. Her hair are glowing in yellow and there is no light source i mean yellow thing there there is pink. So erase that yellow light from there. Blending can also be improved by using selective color and gmaps on low opacity. And bottom right side take a black brush between 100-200 and tap it once and lower opacity to 30-40 and set it to soft light or normal whichever looks better. I told this because its somewhat distracting the focal.
KIU mate. I like what you did. Just few tweeks and it will be really good piece of art. If you need any help than feel free to contact me.:)
And yea you're right about the smudge/c4d thingy, but at first I ment to make abstract smudge so yea... Plans changed xD But I couldn't blend render in properly in only smudge :S

for once i actually like the smoother vs more m8 its rather clean and looks slick m8 good use of colors and pretty nice designs i think adding a render or a focal to it might ruin it thoe ish . maybe add in some more light effects ? fractals or something. keep it as an abstract . kiu m8 would like to see more from you like this .

The second version looks the best to me because of it's quality.
I think you should just bring the lighting out a tad more :).
I think you're using way too many C4D's and therefore the overall composition is very messy. What I suggest you do is remove a few C4D's and try to level out the quality of them because some of the foreground one's here seems over-sharp.
What I also see is that the light coming of the render doesn't match the lighted areas, so it doesn't look right.
Also, the render shouldn't have that many lighted corners. Try to allign where the lighting is coming from and lightly soft brush the render and set it on color (clipping mask) and lower the opacity. Also, gradient maps, color balances and selective colors will help with the overall blending. At the moment, the render does not really blend :p.
Try to emphasize the lighting more.
Kiu :).
