Advanced Vortex Tutorial

okay, so this is gonna be old news/ with a little new twist at the end.

Step 1.
Create a new image mine was 500x500

Filter > Render > Clouds.

Step 2. (repeat this step untill you like the looks of it)
Filter > Render > Difference Clouds.

Step 3.
Filter > Pixelate > Mezzotint: medium strokes.

Step 4.
Duplicate the layer.

Step 5. (on the top layer)
Filter > Blur > Radial Blur: zoom. 100%. best.

Step 6. (on the bottom layer)
Filter > Blur > Radial Blur: spin. 50%. best.

Step 7. (on the top layer again)
Set blending mode to "Lighten".

Step 8. (top layer still)
Ctr + E to merge the layers down.

Step 9.
Image > adjustmensts > Hue / Saturation: select "Colorize" and adjust the sliders untill you get a color you like.

ow i really like the end result, great tut, ery clear. well done. I might use that sometime, looks really neat and hi-tec, Gj&#33;

I really do enjoy that - it reminds me of a dark-hole with some type of gas going into it. I renamed it to that if thats cool with you&#33; Thanks much for the contribution, I love the end effect&#33;

Is it O-K if I submit this to a few tutorial sites? Also, NEVER use photobucket - they are the worst&#33;

Short of posting images of pulling down the filters menu for each step i dont know how much more detailed i can get. :unsure:

Mine doesnt end up anything like that. I get the swirly bit but not the action straight lines coming from the centre outwards?&#33;? Any idea&#39;s. Awesome effect.
