Any Tips ?? For this sig?

Ok im quite new here so i had this sig im working on and i wanted to show it to ya and you guys migh give some tips for me to improve it :) I dont know if this is the right section for this but after looking at all the other ones this is the best tto post it in :)

Here is what im working on pls give tips to improve / next step for me would be

For 1 it's to big for a tag drop the size down to maybe 400x250! Bg doesn't fit with the render,try and use colors from your render and don't center it. You need to really work on the basic's compo,blending,lighting, and text.

The only tip I can suggest is - read lots of tutorials here.

I cant really find good tuts around here when i look on the sig tuts in the first page only 2 a 3 are usefull must i go to page 2, 3 etc?

Oh and its not a sig actually i didnt knew an other name for it :)

So i must always use colors outta the render even if its not a sig?

You don't necessarily have to use colours from the render, but ones that complement it. For this LP (Large piece), red and orange does not go well with whites and greys, especially not when it's strongly contrasted.
Also play with colour adjustments (levels, gradient maps, colour balance, photo filters etc.).
Also add some effects infront of the render, because currently it looks like you've designed the background and then just stuck on the render afterwards and left it there.

But yeah like everyone said, just following some tutorials will help teach you the fundamentals of sig making, like composition, depth, lighting, colours etc.

Blend it, tweak the colors, tweak the brightness, Match the feeling with your render, Add depth.
And stuff like that

Ohh, and don't fully render your render.
And since the render pose is pretty much symmetrical it looks weird that it's centered, boring, the same ya know..

You could nicely center a render like this if you really want in a vertical tag or more squarish tag.
Like 300*400 or something.

But take this one for a learning moment ;D and move on to the next tag :)

See the thing about tuts and psd's is you don't try to copy every step, you take parts of the tuts/psd's that you have never known about before or things you never thought to try with diff kinda settings/styles.

You have done much better in your v2 with the colours I would suggest to you to try more different effects fractals/stock images/c4d's etc. These things would spice up your tag very well. For an lp, thing is in lp's you shouldn't really use renders such as this, it just makes it an oversized tag. When doing lp's it's best to work more with your own pieces to give it more originality, to invest more time into it then you would a tag and to try and avoid generic renders, such as game renders. T

ags are a perfect step into gfx and outwards, making lp's such as landscaps, cimema stuff and beyond. I would suggest you work more with tags and learning to use all the wonderful settings and creative outlest you can do with gimp or ps ( danno which one you used) then work into much larger things.

I hope I have given you some advice and a better look at learning from tuts and psd's :D

Good job on the colouring, suits it a lot more.
Try putting something infront of the render too to add depth, and to make it look better.

Yeah i loOked that way to tuts etc but what u mean with the dint use generic renders etc what shoild i use then for LP's ?

Btw im like using Photoshop a month now
U think im good as a beginner ?
And i actually used a c4d in the LP
You have any tips for useful things in a sig? Before i came here i never heard of a c4d :)

So are there any other c4d thing that help make a better tag / LP ?

I have been only using ps for a year now, and your right about where I was when I first started out so yes, I think you are doing well, and I think with more time spent on your pieces and accepting some of the good advice you have gotten from others will help you greatly to learn faster and make better choices then some of us did starting out on our own :D

Okay for one, when I mean generic I more or less mean like using anime, ahhh a tomb raider video game render, stuff like that, usually for lp's if you are going to do anything in anime form or video opinion, my best suggestion is to do it yourself ( sdly I don't ave that kind of drawing talent) so I rely on photo manipulation. Where I take real life images and manipulate them to make them look different and new. There are many different style of photomanipulation as well so if you feel like getting into manip I as well as a few others on this site would be more then happy to help.

I have a tut you can go ahead and read that might help you learn a new style to use in c4d's ( sorry, to date I have only made one tut) but I know that there are hundreds of talented artists on this forum who make some really nice tutorials that could give you a great appreciation on new ways to use your resources.

Some stock ideas I would have suggested for your batman would be a city at night or a dead end street, with you making some boken lights etc. For your creed dude if you had wanted to stay more in your red colours you could have used stock images found here on our forum in the resource section of fire, putting the fire on different layers around your render would have made him look like he was walking through flames or something.

My suggestion really is, try a number of things and don't limit yourself to just a few grudge brushes and let your imagination go crazy with c4d/stocks/fractals/textures, anything!!!!

Also a good number of us have a wide varity of really wicked renders in Voids resource section, you should check those out as well, like domino does some really wicked real life renders and I like my anime ones, tortue and ishmaz, a lot of them have some really nice renders for you to pick from :)

EDIT: I forgot to mention that in lp form another form of it is cinema style, like the c4d stuff how thats made can actually be turned into lp's as well.
