Forum problems. Please read.

Who is having problems on the forum? I've noticed the sb has being acting up all day and now the text editor is also missing. Please post here any issues you have asap and I will get John on this. I am guessing it is a server issue, and if that is the case, there isn't anything I can do myself to fix it.

Pretty much can't see any pictures or the SB.

The images are gone. What people see, is just for their temp internet folder.

6:48am (Next day)I could totally patch the site up with some mascara and pretty it right up again.This might have something to do with an update or an out of date software/plug-in or worst case scenario a bug/error in the codes. John should be able to narrow the problem down rather easily though.Everything should be fine.

me. images(smileys & others) dont load and sb not working :l

I noticed problems with the icons on the homepage and everywhere else, also sb and problems with social groups when you go to add a new member it flickers

Seems like it's all good now, at least for me.

DM, thanks for emailing me about this. I didn't check my email early this morning so missed your first message reporting this issue.

There was a problem with the CDN (content delivery network) provider. I switched over to another. Everything should be back to normal either immediately (right now) or very soon (some ISPs may take a bit longer to pickup the necessary DNS changes for this fix; shouldn't take more than an hour or so max).

I see you have Latvia listed in your location. It might take a bit longer for your ISP to pickup the DNS update for this fix as sometimes ISPs outside of the US take longer with this type of update. Let me know if you still have problems a few hours from now. You might also need to reboot your computer or use the repair network option to make sure that your computer isn't caching the old DNS info.

I'm still having issues. I also suggest rebooting PC's, and even possibly resetting modems as well.

Its all good on my pc now. everything is loading and showing up again.

I just refreshed the page, and suddenly everything was allright :p

Can i also point out i've been having problems with a guy called apathy? :P

And that just may become alot worse, unless that "glitch" is fixed...

Anyhow, back on topic children. We can save the "glitch" for another thread.

I turned off the CDN for now and set all images & static files to pull directly from the server. I'll leave it like this for a few days then will turn the CDN back on. This might cause the site to slow down just a bit but will give some extra time for all ISPs to pickup the new DNS update for the CDN provider.

If anyone experiences any other issues, please post them in here. Things seem to have being sorted out, but let us know if you run into any more problems.

Was Having some problems with the SB the other day, but they APPEAR to be fixed although I havent been on much today.

and yeah, cuz im from latvia, i have loads of sites that i cant view.. -.- stupid countrie, tho our internet speed is one of fastest, listen 7th in world rating.

Images and other static files are now configured to pull from the CDN again. Please let me know if there are any problems, etc.

I received a notice from my DNS provider a few hours ago reporting that DNS queries have absolutely skyrocketed and will likely put me far past my quota, which is not good (means higher costs). It appears to be caused by the new CDN provider. Not sure what I'll need to do about it... I'm working with the CDN provider to hopefully sort this out. I might need to turn the CDN off again... shouldn't impact too much here on the void, but it would mean pulling all the many thousands of image loads from the void's server, putting more strain on that again. Anyhow, just wanted to post a quick update about this.
