Profile - New Tools Added

Hi guys!

Since Adobe recently released their new CS6 suits I decided to add it to the "tools of trade" list in your profile. So if you've upgraded to CS6 feel free to change your info.

Since I already were on the move I added more tools to the list:

Cinema4D
System Camera (only digital camera were available before)
I also increased the number of options limit to 6.

If you have any suggestions about tools that isn't already on the list please post here and I'll be sure to add them. You may also suggest new profile info categories.

So go update your profile to show your friends which tools you use to make your awesome creations :D

Just got back and saw your comment =p To reiterate - Apophysis could be added to the list.

There we go, the good old fractal program is added to the list, thanks Distelo!

Would it be possible to get some web based sections added to the profiles e.g. what do you use for creating websites/applications, languages etc.

Adobe Dreamveawer is available in the list at the moment, what more developer programs would you like to see?
Main language and spoken languages can be added, not a bad idea Doh :D

I believe he meant programming languages like SQL/PHP/Java/C++/ etc. which isn't really related to gfx because it mostly involves writing code and not creating graphics so idk if it should be added or not.

This is true, but it can be an integral part to sharing images and creating a portfolio. I guess it all depends on if you're talking about tools to create the pictures themselves, or the tools used to boost your work and portfolio. I personally think they should be added, but it's really a subjective opinion.

We're aiming for the tools used to create the actual images, not what you use to bring them on to the web for showcase/portfolio.

That clears things up a bit. I'll be sure to take advantage of the ability to update my info to CS6. Truly a great Photoshop upgrade.

New about me profile field added, "Favourite style of art". Write out which styles of art you prefer, could be both what you like to create yourself and enjoy to view from other artists.

Ideas and suggestions about the profiles are highly appreciated :blush:

How about removing that 'permission groups' tab however? I don't think I've ever seen it in use...

I have no idea what you are talking about, never seen a tab like that. Please send me a screenshot of it.

And the Usergroup thing, there are none for people to try and join :).

That's probably because there is no public social groups

I am not expert in Photoshop. Just learning how to remove bg from images. My tutor is teaching me that now a days. Dont know when i will expertise this software.:worked_till_5am:

Tools of the trade is updated with more options, for example the new Adobe CC, After Effects, Premiere and more.

I also added a new gender, choose it if it fits you ;)

Update your profiles now.

I still can't find the answer to that. I've compared the 250+ posts user group (which you are in) with the other groups, and their settings are identical under the "Usergroup Options".
Maybe one day we shall find that option.

Tool suggestion: Paint Tool SAI

John (Voids owner) finally upgraded to the latest vBulletin version for our site, but went MIA again after that, as you old-timers are used to by now >.z

However, the new version included tagging, subscription tracking and notifications. See your profile (tracks your friends activities). Also see the new button at the top left corner of the forums (news feed).

@all new members. There's a limit to what we in staff can do without John and he is known to disappear for years. He holds the keys to Voids root server, so we can't for example update the software or add a new forum theme.

We hope everyone is alright with this fact and may enjoy being here anyways :encouragement:
