MaDD - its different, i like the shape and size. nice job mate!
Nightfire - WOW, i love it! its all class. the animation in this sig is great (in other words its not flahsy or "in your face") this gets my vote...a very polished wll designed sig!
Reedy - love the use of colour, one of my fav sigs there!
DTM - HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA, points for originality!
Lietuvis - nice sig, like the boarder, dont like the green but thats just a personal preference thing, good job
WaJo - cant actualy see yours man all i get is "user posted img" ...sorry
Underoath - hmmm intretsing to see a black and white sig it stands out, nice background , suits it well, could use more...detail it looks a bit empty in places....otherwies nice job
DragonEye - pretty cool sig, basicly a cropped version of your courrent forum sig, i think it would have a bigger impact if i was seeing it for the 1st time. (as it did when i did see it for the first time). pretty trippy sig man!
Joshkhem - nice colours, prehaps some text, not much else i can say. tis a nice sig all the same
AgainstAllOdds - hehe gotta a smile outta dis one as well. nice job really not much else i can say
Duval - pretty cool, love the background again there is not much happenening in the sig its a littel uniforme fro my taste. try some small animation (see: animation tuts) or blending more then one pic. nice job.
HeadShot - not much i can really say about this. its a pretty cool sig i love tghe symbols on either side, just not sure who the people in the middle are.
ursula - wow, nice sig..it almost seems sad...tis one of my fav's but then again i always like anime/manga
iceryu - pretty trippy, very different style to all the others..tis truly a freestyle sig, only thing is that there is nothing in it...there is no pic or anything. but still one of my favs
Psypher - wow this is gotta be my 2nd fav sig in the lot, nice design i love the face!
DesiTitan - nice sig, nice use of colour, suits the theme u have choosen (hl). prehaps have somthing more in the sig, again i think some small animation would benifit a sig like this or prehaps some very faint action shoots in the background...... well u get the idea.
Fade - wowe this is awsome, cool pic. nice job
M!cky - nice sig i like this alot as well....can sotw have a M15+ rating? nothing else t o say really except well done
GoodinEvil - Nice work, a little empty for my taste but as i have said before , thats just my persoanl prefrenece.

nightfire, i'm a fan of animation and this one pulls it off in a unique yet subtle way. only thing i didn't like about it was that it is in three parts. i know that's kinda your trademark and all, but i really don't think this one needs it. great job though.

yeah i thought i would be safe, but sometimes its best to be carefull, the written word can be miss understood so easily beacuse there is no tone or body language involved, its best to cover all base's just in case anyway. I figer people enter these things in order to see what others think of there work, and as i had very little else to do i decied that the other 15 sigs that dont get mentioned needs to be talked about.......so read and be merry! i always enjoy looking through the differnt stuff in SOTW

Can we please not accept "joke" entries anymore..? I mean some people are coming out and saying "joke entry!". I know this is to get better, but we don't really want "joke" entries in here, that helps nobody. I voted...Psy on this one. I think it's spork who always says that in some uncanny way the person who oblivion votes for wins...and i think that's gunna happen here so GO PSY!

A lot of members here don't have the confidence...nearly every battle is a n00b battle and it's starting to bug the hell out of a lot of us...have some confidence people? yes we'e not all desititans or psypers but they didn't call themselves n00bs for the first 75% of their time spent as gfx artists.

I'm sorry if this statement mingles with the meaning behind your post, but I'm still a n00b! I really am; you should see all the great GFX artists out there! They inspire me to do something new (as new as I can get) and different.
I am hoping to get a tablet to see how far my visions can go in photoshop. I saw a great artist use a tablet and PS7 (something I have! lol). It would be neat.
I rehashed an old sig because I'm a) too lazy to make a new one. & B) see how many votes I get on this particular sig.

It was a toss up between Psy and Iseyru (sp?).
Everyones entries were pretty much the same thing you see at every other forum.
I voted for GoodinEvil, very original and totally different to every other entry up there. By far the best.

If it's depending how much work is put into it like I've heard some people say that not enough work was put into that, then the ones you call noobs could win a lot more than the people who know what they are doing half the time.
I always thought not matter what they had done to a sig or picture in general that when voting you look for what's the best one for an all around look. Where could it fit and not fit. does it stand out or look like nothing. Clutter and all that, I don't try and judge did they blend anything or how much time they put into it for even if you take a year it half the time doesn't even look as good as someone who can make something in a day who knows what they are doing.
In graphics I think you should look for talent not how long they spent on it, cause that doesn't mean it's better.
I understand what you mean nightfire, but some artists are openly coming out and stating that their entry is just a joke if they got/get no votes, and when they first post it they call it a joke too. And as you can see, the new sotw has the "no joke entries allowed"

yeah the joke entrys are anoying but there is a difference between a joke entry and a funny entry.......ie DTM'd could be taken either way
