The bike one is the best, because you have blended it with the original picture. I think part of the reason people hate filters is because that is one of the first things you usually learn to use in photoshop, so anyone who uses filters is considered to be a "n00b".
anyone with a closed mind as that is the actual noob though, not using the programs full advantages based on preconceptions is very petty and quite frankly stupid. i agree the bike one is my favorite, the blending adds an extra oomph to the effect.

it not that cc, i mean im sure alot of pros use filters, but all he did was use on filter or so, one click, and called it his own - he didnt make the render, and he ddint do the work
in digital art and indeed just about every art form, it's not the way it's made that's important it's the final result.
thast like saying i could take two digi space things, blend them to look like one and call it my own
yes it is, and once you modify something enough, who's to say it isn't?
see that's the problem with alot of people, just because you didn't do 100% of it you feel it's not truly yours...fact is if you modify anything to a point it really becomes yours, the original is what the other author owns.
