Then if you dont think it looks nice, add some colour or something to jazz it up, personally I like it how it is.

It's not a bad tutorial, but you can just render some clouds and then use the fiber filter.... I guess with chrome and fresco you get a little more color variety... o___O;; I don't know where you could use this, but meh..... it's okay :D

also, if you then emboss it after you have finished, you get a nice rocky effect
