That's a great tutorial. Thankyou. I've been looking every to get that kind of effect as a background. I had no idea it came in a brush. Will I find a gunge brush on deviantart?

I hate too sound like a complete noob. I have been useing photoshop for about 2 years now but never knew about gurnge till last week. For some reason i can never get my grunge to look even remotly good.
These are the brushes im useing and they really dont seem to make my pictures look anythign like yousr. I read tutorials it and it usualy says : "Now a few strokes with a grunge brush and then do this step:" and my grunge always look horrible.
Can anyone give me tips?Even a detailed tutorial on making grunge pictures, down to exactly how they did it would be great.

::raises his hand:: uhh IMO i think those look more like abstract brushes then grunge... the anime render would look cool in a grunge sig tho.... but thats just my opinion

try the blending modes and the opacity meter on the right side of everything, above your layers and channels and what not. mess with those until you get something you like, and it should work. if you have any more q's dont hesitate to pm me.
