Bring Back The CnC Crew?

Yeah.. I've been lazy as of late and need to contribute more to the void, Therefore... It was my amazing idea whilst trying to get brownie points from DM because he was about to rage at me.. To Bring back the GFXvoid CnC Crew

Myself and Sirenzo were the only ones doing it at the time.. hence it collapsed, So - lets bring the Crew back, better than ever.

whats does this group do?

Basically, we'd critique peoples work to improve it, because most others are lazy, and we did it because it was our job.

indeed im glad lewk posted this up .
i was always active to give u all cnc on your work but would be nice to get some more members to do the same to help out the beginners here at void .

Saw the old group once or twice, I'll give this one a go if you'll have me. (Ofcourse you will, im irresistible)

Who are "we"??

Depending on what members will be in the group and give the CnC will decide my vote really. When pointing out the flaws, will there also be support along the way for the person that the CnC s being given to?

There were some active members in the cnc group, but we didnt toke it out for nO reason. You guys can start it up again but im pretty sure that you wont get the colored name back. Anyways if you guys are going to do this than it would be good fOr the void so :)

The crew was chosen based on how often and well their CnC was. It wasnt as simple as "i want to do it" "okay you're in" All of the crew members gave excellent CnC and it was much more helpful compared to the plain "I like it good job"

I stick by my original decision on this group, they do alot for the first week then its nothing, and laziness, the priviledge of a name color change and title get's wasted when the laziness kicks in and people stop cncing. I suggest you just get pple active in posting and not worry about a title of cnc crew. just pm pple with shitty cnc and ask them to do better cnc. So I'm against this idea, it hasn't even been gone for that long, why would you think DM would want to bring back a headache that is unneccesary and pointless? just my opinion tho, maybe the cnc crew would help who knows.

Ya, I'm not to keen on this idea myself either. The first one was only active in the beginning then went inactive rather quickly.

You shouldn't need your own group as incentive to post good CnC, you should just go out and do it.

We can discuss this more, but it's doubtful it will happen again tbh.

Here's where I stand. Pretty much with Gaaf, Domino and Apathy to be honest. I am not prepared to set up a new usergroup with some fancy color for something that will last a week or two at this point.

If you guys want to make your own "group" or whatever, create a social group,whatever I don't care, have at it. If it works, it works. If we see it is working, we will look at it again.

The need for color speaks.

Why do you need a "crew" to CnC, I mean this IS a graphic design forum the idea of the forum in it's self is for people to post their works and get CnC, I'm saying this as a previous active member of the CnC crew. The whole thing was a failure both on the members of the crew and the leaders of the crew, but I am all for a community CnC crew where no one gets any special treatment, but if you ask me people should just give their opinions on others artwork because they want to, not because they want to be in a special group.

I love how most of the people against it due to the colour hogging - have colours.

Most people who are against it happen to know it failed before, will fail again, and really isn't needed.

color change has really nothing to do with it distrollo, DM summed it up quite nicely tho, didn't work then why would it suddenly work now?

If you guys that were in the group would have been dedicated/serious about the group you would already have created it and been giving out CnC already, not post here to re-instate a old group.

Show that you are serious about it first and that it won't fade away as some members have mentioned that the old one did.

Prove the people voting No wrong by starting the usergroup yourself and show that actually will work out?

Like I said I'm all for a community run CnC group, but there is no need to put a color to it, just make yourself a pretty little badge to put in your sig. And give them to all the members, kind of like the teams do. etc etc.

actually.... when i am here on the void...... I always do some amount of cnc...... it's most off the time in a building up kind off form... positive... although every now and then some sigs are so against my liking that i can't resist a snotty remark ..... lol....

I think u could make new cnc group instead of old one. It wasnt comple, people there didnt do much or so, they just had fancy colour on theyr name.
For A Real cnc group should be some rules and casting i guess? Like first time, mods could pick random people, and they could have rules like :
1. every cnc thread needs to have atleast 2 members Cnc posts, so people always would get normal feedback they could use to improve.
2. People could ask any of Cnc group members who are online cnc asap as they are online and its theyr job.
3. Every month best Cnc'er would get a medal designed like, by Rad if he agrees, so it would be nice goal to reach, but also
Worst worker would get kicked out from the group,or warned in first.
4.cnc group should give links to cnc of tuts we have to people, so they can improve the style they want, and wont need to use 10h to find tut they like..

Rules can go on , and Mods could make theyr own, this is just my opinion.. As i see it, the pluss of this would be.
1. People having theyr fancy colour.
2. Mods having people who answer always to keep the forum active and clean aswell, as giving faster replys if there is some spam on site.
3. Staff could have these "little helpers", and with BIG RULES, there will be not so much people who will want this ,just of the colour, but the ones who really want the job, will work hard for it - also keeping this forum active active active!
and so on....

This is just my opinion :D
