yeah just search the web, there are plenty of great sites out there that have good beginner tutorials for html, css, and such. another option would be to hit up a bookstore and get yourself a book on html and web design since they are fairly cheap and are great for reference later on.

and if you have any questions there seem to be plenty of members such as myself (and 1337elite) that are knowledgable in web design and could help you out.

i got my start through angelfire.com. people tend to flame that site but that was where I made my first web page. it starts you out with basic fill in the blank stuff but then you can look at the code and see how your input affects the code. once you become comfortable with it, you can switch to coding the whole thing yourself. there is also a nice collection of basic html tags to get you going.

No, I strongly suggest not using any pre-written code before you learn the basic tags and how to put a basic page together. I used this, which takes you through the basics and you create a web page in the process, about volcanos. Very interesting stuff I learned, about html and volcanos

i learned to code HTML before making my own page. really helped that i was on a forum where the sigs were mainly html based tables. CSS isnt that hard, you can learn it from just looking at the source code of any site that uses CSS.

yeah i strongly suggest you take the time to learn the basic tags and syntax for html so you learn and understand how to make an html document on your own
