imo border is too thick, bg is kinda plain and could use more depth, the brushing on the render looks pixely and low quality... also needs some text, like your name maybe? to add depth, make a new layer above your background layer, set it to overlay, make your foreground color black and brush on it

hmm i thought my name was on it? i guess that little HS on the render dont mean anything =/
and usually thats what i do for my bgz i didnt brush on the same layer, i make a plain black bg make a new layer and brush on that, i didnt add a contrast layer in this sig =/ mybe thats the problem

yeah, more contrast would be very tasty. i dont mind the border, looks fitting to me.

the text is very hard to read in that case... and hard to locate as well... but the bg needs more shadows... you dont have to have a bg layer, just make a new layer on top of all of your brushing layers, and set the blend mode to overlay and brush on it with a black brush instead of the traditional white
