Anyone have any recommendations for a movie to see? Today, I saw Donnie Darko. It was pretty good. I'd recommend you guys to see it if you haven't already.

i hated that movie, i dunno it just wasnt as deep as everyone was going on about.

I'd recomend Se7en, Fight Club, American history X, The Butterfly effect, Silence of the Lambs, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Snatch or Office Space.

I actually didnt like the butterfly effect either, but if you liked donnie darko you'll like butterfly.

oo noo i did like donnie darko but i'm sure there are mroe deeper films.. but it was indeed one of the best films i have seen, funny you should mention that because it was on itv1 the other day hehe or c4 i'm not sure though hehe

...but butterfly effect is a good one, whatever you do don't see skeleton key it's not cracked up to what the critics say it's fucking rubbish... i talked all the way through when i just felt like sleeping

se7en is indeed a great film, saving private ryan if you havn't already seen it...( i'm going to lose face here but the MCR vid makes me like the song because i love SPR and that's what the film starts of with i need to snap out of it )

thre are loads of really good comedy ones but i don't think they're better than some thrillers that i have seen i'm sure you'd respect the thrillers more but most of them were on like television and i can't remember the names.. not to mention i have the worse memory ever but i will remember them sometime do not despair, stubob is here da da da daaaaaa

    Madd's that I'm seconding:

    Clerks
    Requiem For a Dream
    Pulp fiction
    Reservoir Dogs
    Seven
    Silence of the lambs
    Fight Club
    Donnie Darko
    Snatch
Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas

    One's I suggest:

Amelie (french film, really over the top visuals)
The City of Lost Children (also french, dark film...reminscent of tim burton's style)
Chasing Amy (A kevin smith film, really entertaining. It'll make you respect Ben Affleck alittle bit)
The Professional also called Leon (Amazing action film starring Jean Reno and Natalie Portman in her first film role)
The Boondock Saints (great action film)
The Usual Suspects (think you got it figured out...no you don't)
High Fidelity (Who doesn't love a Jon Cusak movie?)
SLC Punk (funny and enlightening, sundance award winner)
Trainspotting (the first UK film that was actually good, lol. all about heroin and it's amazing)
    Animal House (of course)
American Psycho (real real dark. it'll make you little tim burton fans squeemish haha)
The Virgin Suicides (one of those films that makes you wish you could have lived it)
The Royal Tennenbaums (the ultimate in dry sarcastic humor)
    Resident father figure.
