i have Counter-strike for xbox and i'm planing on buying a version for the computer.... my friendhas both 1.6 and source and i would like to know which one people like better and why they like that version better.

Steam ruined things in my opinion. It was much easier to play before.

Counter-strike 1.6 for PC..it just seems bad on X-box. I don&#39;t have Condition Zero but some of my friends played it, never seemed to get that popular though. And of course, CS:S is just messed up in my opinion. Obviously the graphics are better, but I don&#39;t think the gameplay is as good as 1.6.

for some reason i hate 1.6 with a passion. i dunno just doesnt seem nearly as fun as Source. the reason i quit playing source was because Valve still hasent gotten around to fixing the hitbox issue thats plauged all of the games using the Source Net Code. It works fine when you turn on a few settings (cl_interpolate 0 ftw) that reduce the hit-box lag, but it just doesnt cut it sometimes. also the community that surrounds that game is as much a curse as a blessing. some players are just so arrogent and... just plain assholes, so i stick to mainly one server, and since they&#39;re empty 90% of the time now (damn BF2) i just gave up.

bleh, that was more of a rant then a reason.

1.6 is the ultimate fps in my eyes, everything about it just adds to the great gameplay. it doesnt matter whether you wana work as part of a team or solo causing chaos, there is a level for any occasion.
